- Hi Members,
I have heard many people here talk about using their visa or mastercard when they play at online casinos. I have NEVER been able to use one. Everytime i have ever tried it, it has been declined. None of the banks will allow it.
My question is if anyone does use their credit card what banks are out there that still allow it. I will surely apply for it!! It would make life really easier for me when i deposit.
In my experience i have tried using my visa CREDIT card at online sites and its been turned down every time, thats when i got a "netspend" prepaid DEBIT card and it gets excepted everywhere, i think its because you have to load it with $ before you can use it so its your $, with a credit card the bank puts up the funds then you get your bill, plus it has alot to do with that stupid law, hopefully that will change this week but i highly doubt it.

I used my AT&T Mastercard card the very first time I ever deposited. As long as you have the available cash advance line of credit available you should be approved. But now I always use my Wells Fargo debit card the funds come out of my personal checking account. It's a debit card but it has the VISA logo on the front of the card. I have never been declined! Hope this helps.

- Thanks for the input...i guess i misunderstood...i thought peeps were literally using their bank cards.
I have a friend that works for a bank...she is in the Visa department. They allowed online deposits to casinos. She said it was an oversite and corrected it....i said can't ya just please wait awhile so i can sign up for the card..lol. She said they had a ton of customers using it for online gambling.
She once worked for a bank where there was two robberies by the same guy...they caught him on the third try...never guess what he did with all the money he stole.....spent every dime on land casinos! Turns out he lived right across the street from the bank.
Crazy, crazy peeps out there. Also very greedy to attempt for a third time!
- I bank with Wachovia and with Bank of America. I have been able to use my checkcard from both of my banks! The only thing that I have found with BOA is that when they see too many withdrawals from the online they will freeze my card and call me to make sure that those are my charges (they are very dilligent about fraud). It is a pain sometimes but it is nice to know that they are looking out for my money! Also, their international transaction fees are a little hefty imho....anywhere from $1.20 to $2.00 per transaction, depending on the processor. Now these are visa checkcards and I will tell you that I have had problems in the past using my regular credit cards when I try to deposit. They are always rejected, but with my bank cards I have never had a problem. Hope this helps! I cannot comment on prepaid visa or mc because I have never tried to use on of those. Also, a good thing to do is if you are going the route of the checkcard, open an account specifically for online play and use that account for that only. I have an account specifically designed for that so I do not mix my household money with my "fun money". It also makes it easier to keep track of just how much you are spending!

THE EASIEST WAY THAT I HAVE FOUND IS
PURCHASE A PREPAID RELOADABLE DEBT CARD....
the benefit of the reloadable cards is that you can't spend more then you have
MOST IMPORTANT MAKE SURE IT IS A ALL ACCESS CARD
I KNOW 2 THAT WORK....
NETSPEND OR GREEN DOT
