Virtual Reality ( VR ) - the future of online gambling?

As we earlier reported ( https://lcb.org/news/9427-first-ever-virtual-reality-casino ) SlotsMillion is to launch the first ever VR casino this week!

Absoutely! 100%! Yes! This is the coolest thing I've ever seen. I would hope I wouldn't get dizzy but 3D jewels coming down in Starbrst? Amazing! Very exciting for SlotsMillion and for their players.

cool news indeed. I think it would make me dizzy so my vote goes to that. But I would definitely try it out.

Does anyone know if they intend to get a UK license?

For now on, playing at online casinos is still enough for me. I would like to play more at land based casinos, but VR is not for me.

For me, this may possibly be the best innovation in gaming this year. Can't wait to get my hands on that application and see how it looks.

If I understood correctly, goggles are not required, which is super cool, since I don't really like using them anyway.

It would be an interesting experience. I hope I won't get seizure if I ever try it out.

I can't really imagine how it would be, but I would definitely love to try, it's really futuristic and something I have never seen before. But I might get dizzy though So I think I wouldn't play there on regular basis, but from time to time- why not?

I would for real . However I am not so sure this VR thing would be that massive and only time will tell if I am right.

I like the idea, and I'm curious how it is going to work so I will definitively going to give it a try. But it general, I think this is one big step forward for online gambling. Hell, even if I do get dizzy, i will just imagine that I've been drinking too much.

I would definitely try this out! It's a totally unique experience that you can't just pass up; you've at least got to give it a try. I think it would be really cool and it definitely has the potential to take over the future of online gaming

Absolutely I would play there; it could be the shape of things to come.  Once one does it and it's a success, others will surely follow.

I voted "VR what da hell is that?" because I just can't picture how it would look and feel like but I would love to try this out for sure. It would be great if it does work out well because then we could have something new and fun to play. Can't wait to try it.

Would you need extra expensive equipment?

Would it be 3D?

Would it be like the poker site PKR, with interaction with other online players in real time.

Would skimpily clad cocktail servers come by every now and then and offer you a drink? 

I heard they are going for a Danish license; so I hope to try someday if they do.

I have no idea how this actually works, but the little teaser makes me really curios. I am ready to become a tester. 

Also fantastic that such a brand new casino like SlotsMillion is brave enough to come up with something new. As much as their promotion of SM leaves me cold, that one here sounds fun.

I get motion sickness easily in cars and boats...I think virtual reality gambling would be a bit too much for me:/  But definitely worth a try!

VR style casino platforms have been around for ages. I remember years ago playing some casino software that I paid for in a shop which was VR casino. Of course it wasn't for real cash but the concept was the same, walk down hallways, walk to the slot you want to play. More than anything though, I just wanted to be at the next slot, not have to press keys on my keyboard to navigate to the next slot I felt like playing. (Edited addition, the Virtual casino CD was purchased in 2001)

It may pull in a few more customers to start with, but when the novelty wears off, it will be no different to any other casino.

Theres 2 reasons why VR casinos will fail:

You dont have physical machine buttons to press

and

You dont enter money into the machine

After trying it a few times, will anyone be happy with having to navigate through a row of slots to get from Immortal Romance to Thunderstuck 2? Instead of just clicking it instantly?

Mark my words 100% that by xmas, most members , if not all who are excited by this will be saying "it's nothing special".

I wouldn't even call it VR personally. It seems more of a 3d simulation of a casino.

On that note, some may not even be able to run it if its 3d rendering because it all depends on their computer spec.

I certainly would play at one, if i could afford a VR headset when they go on sale. i would also use it for gaming too of course

But slots million isnt available in the united kingdom yet

I hate that the uk introduced new laws for online casinos, because a lot of casinos now do not operate in the uk, cos they have to get a new license. oh well. but i predict VR will revolutionize the internet, once it fully gets rolled out.

I think it is a great concept and brings us to a new level of heightened gambling entertainment.

I guess I would try it, I always like to test new stuff and it looks quite cool too. I doubt I'd get hooked to it though.

That introduction video actually looked horrible. If i want a real casino experience i go my my local casino and not in this kinda horrible mess of pixels

Ok first impression was like WTF?! Login process took forever. I couldn't log in. Gotta try it on my PC later. And it eats my RAM like a Mcburger.

I was able to "get in" there as a guest. I still couldn't sign in. It kept connecting and connecting.  It felt real weird. It was like walking in an empty room with slot machines everywhere. No people there. I try to get into play but I had no clue how to start the slot. I tried to stand at a slot machine. Hit every buttons on my keyboard but it just didn't activate the slot.

I cannot imagine that a lot of people would enjoy it or if this project will last that long. From what I experienced a bit it just didn't make much sense. I mean yeah it might give you the vibe of actually being at a real casino but still.

I hope and wish that this is just a first beta version.
