What is your take on Marijuana and Gambling?

So as you know in the USA some states have legalized marijuana either for medical and/or recreational purposes. Other countries like Netherlands have it legilzied for many years now.

Why not?  it will be legalized globally in a few years time, anyway. 

I think there is nothing wrong with the odd old blunt here and ther, and too be honest I would much rather be  around a bunch of stoned gamblers than drunk gamblers

• Sylvanas. I don't smoke weed myself but i don't knock anyone who does. Stress reliever or pain reliever for some. 420 is a big day for some .

Medical use is ok I think 

I'm not a weed smoker, tried it once and didn't like it, but I guess people should be free to choose. If alcohol is legal then marijuana definitely should be as well.  

I tired it a few times and it just didn't work for me, but I think it should be legalized for both medical and recreational use. And about mixing it with gambling, I guess a puff or two won't hurt anybody. :)

I don't think that any central nervous system depressant or stimulant, for that matter, has a good place in the outcome of any gamblng.   Well, maybe in a poker game where everyone is high except you.  Now, there could be an advantage there. I like to keep my wits about me when I gamble, but for the rest of you that want to partake, cheers...............................

I agree with Johnny Karp, in so far as, if alcohol is legal then so should mary jane.  It is less harmful to the human body than alcohol, there has never been a reported case of overdosing with mary jane, and when is the last time you heard of a guy high on mary jane that beat the crap out of his wife???? This also goes for the sexes being reversed.

I doubt I will ever witness casinos offering their players a choice of an alcoholic drink or a joint. I think its a personal choice by each individual if they want to get high while they gamble. Its your money, you should be able to spend it in any frame of mind one chooses!

But, I'm an old lady what do I know????

If you are in the U.S. I think everyone should take the time and make it a point to read up on how mary jane was made illegal in the first place. It just might shock you!

Well said pokergranni! I totally agree with you! I have a few friends that smoke it for medical reason's. Still illegal in my state, but I support them totally. They are not on prescribed drugs which they can hardly afford anyway!

I really wasn't sure how I felt about open recreational use but when Johnny compared it to alcohol it made sense to legalize. If we can drink socially at any time then why shouldn't lighting up a plant be legal? 

Obviously you can't smoke it out in the open because unlike alcohol those around you could get high from the fumes. It would have to be done privately and in restricted areas. In Illinois you can't freely walk around with a lit joint but posessing a small amount is no longer considered a crime. How does this work for those of you in legalized areas?

One of my favorite comedians Katt Williams has said some hilarious things about weed over the years. He has a serious potty mouth so if you're offended by bad language steer clear of his comedy.

they should make "pot/weed rooms" and that will solve the problem 

OMG could you imagine a smoke filled room with people coughing and picking weed bits off their lips. You won't even need to buy your own, just spend a minute breathing in that room. 

When i play poker i prefer coke and or ritalin (adderol)... need 2 stay sharp and awake.

Dont do those when playing slots. That will mess up your bank roll

CBD oil and other marihuana / hemp related products are  probably the single most benificiary products to peoples health. I dont smoke, i dont like the effects of thc either. 

It should be legal but in traffic there should be checked if a person used a thc based product the same like theh check for alcohol. Put it out there but make sure the user acts responsibly
