    1.  New Year's Eve, and the celebrations which attach to it, is known as Hogmanay in Scotland.

    2.  Florida  and  Mississippi  both have towns named Christmas. (Christmas, Michigan is actually an unincorporated community and the one in Arizona was a mine and is now a ghost town)

    3. A baby turkey is called a poult.

    4. Teddy Roosevelt banned the Christmas tree from the White House.

    5. Italian Christmas Cake is called 'Panettone'.
