A casino story

I have had the honor for 2 of my favorite casino ladies share with me that each had lost an adult child.  One lady had lost a daughter who had been a drug addict but was clean but it still did its damage.  My other lovely lady shared with me the story of her son's suicide after a divorce.  These stories are tragic, but I feel privileged that these lady felt I deserved to know such a painful part of their lives.  Some people come in day after day and you get to know them, the real them. 

I need  Xanax after reading that. Really sux man, glad they have someone like yout o talk to though

Most times we don't know anything about the people around us, some of them have really sad stories behind them, stories that can make you admire them for their strength to carry on.

You are right Wmmeden, they must think highly of you because I doubt they would share those stories with too many people. 

I agree Johnny. We don't know what people are going through. You never know what kind of day someone has had before they run into you. You must be very kind to them that they felt comfortable enough to share with you wmmeden.

I always feel it is easier to express online because you can be more open and not have to face the harsh judgement of face to face with people. It really is nice to see that they can come to you Wmmeden and share their darkest pains.

Very sad stories for these two ladies. You are very special that they shared such sorrowfulness with you. They both made a wise choice because just sharing it with us shows how honored and touched you are.

You get your regulars in and, over time, they open up to you.  I've shared tears with a couple of "my" people.  These guests come in almost everyday, and for some, you may be one of the few friends they have or just someone who will stop long enough to listen to them.
