A general discussion about General discussion.

Hi Gang:
 To me, General Dscussion will always have a important role in this forum. It is where we share things about ourselves, get to know eachother, and are able to speak of things on our mind besides that of gambling.  We share views and ideas as well.  To me it makes us real as people, to eachother.

   As I sit here, I try to think of new and exciting posts to add to our General Discussion.  It also occurs to me that I sometimes pull an absolute blank.


I have been posting for over a year now, and sometimes I guess I reach a point that  I come up empty.  Will I ever be able to think of something again?  :o

I mean just think of all the topics we have actually covered.  For some of the new folks here if we repeated ourselves it might not matter, however to the older ones like myself  it would be quite boring to be redundant.  ;)


Tonight, lets choose a topic we have already covered , but bring it up again just for old time sake.  ;)

Any Ideas?

I always was partial to the funny ones.  Lips wrote some doozies.  Like her "Non Smoker from Hell" post.

I always enjoyed writing about Casinos Behaviors.  Those got halarious.

What were some of your favorite GENERAL DISCUSSION threads from the past?

I know there are plenty to bring alive again for the new members.

I will share a thought with you.

Quite often I think of a subject that I feel may be of interest to post in this section.  I think about it for a while, I can even start writing it.  

....and then self doubt creeps in.  Why would anyone be interested in what I have to say.  What if I posted and nobody replied.  So I click "back" on the browser and that's the end of the subject for me.

I don't have a favourite "old discussion" - maybe the newer members can look at the older posts in this section and pick a subject they would like to talk about.

I too doubt myself when I go to start a new thread. Always wondering if any one will reply.

Some go over really well, others are left to never be replied too.  I guess that is just the way it goes.

PMM.. i have to say i always love your posts, always funny and interesting, and PMM don't you worry, your posts go over fine!! Yours are always my favorite ones, i'm even going to say about you.. i would think.. heres this woman(you) is going through a hard time (quiting smoking) starting a new job(with and around snotty people) but still finds some time to come here and post some funny stuff for all of us to read!! (she cares about us still) this is just the small end of how i think.. PMM i really enjoy what you share.. truely!

I've seen alot of funny and interesting posts i have read through the time i've been here, alot from YOU!!

As far as the anxiety to posting, i go through that, write up a post and just stop and delete it.

Deciding on a favorite.. it's imposible for me.. so so many to decide upon!!

This is an awesome post. I found the title quite humorous.
I have a tendacy to post a new thread on a subject that's on my mind- without even caring if anyone replies...lol.
It helps me vent.
