    I just came across a story about a young man who lent his car to  his friend and went to bed. 

    For lending his car to this friend, he is now locked up on a life sentence with no chance of parole.  The law that encarcerated him is the Felony Murder Rule.  The person he lent his car to drove to the house of a woman selling drugs, broke in and committed murder and because of that, he is locked up for life.

    Completely absurd! I'm not familiar with American criminal laws, but this is an absurd situation. I don't think that he can be responsible for what happened to the girl, and I agree with the author that the parents are actually more responsible since they were selling drugs in their house.

    Looks like they got him because they claim he knew the murder was going to take place. It's not a very just  rule and some states have already done way with it. I hope to see it disappear in every state. There are serious cases and we see real pieces of crap walk everyday. Not fair!
