Anyone heard of these predictions?

My son showed me this website.

Evidently the group known as Illuminati has made predictions
in the past that have come true.  The most famous one was a prediction
of a terrorist attack on 9/11.

I can't find any information on the group but their website has a countdown
clock... supposed to be the next bad thing to happen.

If you click on the site, you will see a black page.  Click and drag on the top left and currently it says 21 days + 6 hours + 30min + 52 seconds.

Anyone heard of them or take any stock in these and other predictions?

I've only heard of them on a film, the name of which escapes me. Very interesting Gabby.

I don't believe in such things, there are loads of people that say "I predicted this" or "I predicted that" while life remains totally unpredictable.

I don't really believe in predicitons either but I will probably keep the date in mind...just to see if these 'people' were right again.

I try not to believe in any of these predictions because to be honest if i did it would scare me half to death.

I remember the very first time i saw a documentary on Nostradamus i was like OMGGGGGGG the world is going to end soon by someone out of the Middle East wearing a blue turban!!

My mind scrambled to think who is wearing one of these now and even searched the net and found no one at that time. My first reaction was phewwwww we are spared for a little while longer!

Now i just tell myself it's not true to save my sanity!

i just did some research, (and it states they are about a new world order)

i think this is the correct 1, so maybe the countdown might be regarding all these issues with the EURO, maybe the EURO will sieze to exsist from that date, that will be really really bad world issue,

i actually also dont believe in any off these things, but this could be 1 scenario as to what the countdown means, im probly 100% wrong, but who knows?.......

i also think and feel people are underestimating the situation we are in with the euro, it is a very very bad situation, it can mess the whole economics up....

(lets hope the euro doesnt end, (im not a fan of the euro either but we need to keep it now we have it)

(it was a group of intellectuals that only lasted for about ten years, in Germany, more than 200 years ago. Everything beyond that is the invention of conspiracy theorists and fiction writers.)

EXTRA EDIT: lol my theory on the euro is totally wrong, now i just did even more resaerch, people are thinking a lot of different things as to what the countdown actually means, people think its for world peace or something like that, who knows.......?????????????????? (thats the point in it i suppose, the same with a lot of these types of things)

Where and how did you research? 

I tried researching the 'illuminati' group and couldn't find anything.  My daughter looked too.

Evidently these are a group of very rich people who have made predictions in the past that turned out to be true.

I always assume the worst... World Peace didn't enter my mind. Wouldn't that be a great one?  I doubt it would happen to the exact second though.

Exactly, i ignore to save my sanity.. but this drives my daughter crazy.. every other day she will message me in fear because she heard another prediction of the world ending or changing drastically.. i keep telling her you have to stop listening to that and live your life, you may be educated about it all, but try and refuse to beleive it.. theres one thing i told her, when i was a child i heard the same things, i spoke to my mother about it and my mother told me.. when she was little she heard the same things and spoke to her mother about it.. and so forth back.. explained that this is not news it's been predicted for hundreds and hundreds of years and with each generation the predictions are elevated like the telephone line, by the time it gets back to us.. the sun is not going to rise and the moon is going to fall on the earth.. IF anything "bad" is going to happen to us fear and worry is not going to change it..

i also did a whois on the domain, it shares the servers with a lot of very odd subject websites too lol

u can find everything in the internet, also that last edit quote was in an answer in yahoo answers gabby, it was 1 of the replys,

and yes, world peace would be nice hehe,
