        Hiya Guys and Dolls,

It appears the US is not alone in cracking down on internet gambling. Senator Nick Xenophon, who is on a mission to stop Australian's from gambling has previously submitted a to congress a law that would allow players to charge back credit card deposits. This was in hopes that casino operators would ban Australia from their sites.

The anti-gambling campaigner, said it was ‘very disturbing’ that Australian Federal Police (AFP) were not enforcing the ban on online gambling under the 2001 Australia's Interactive Gambling Act (IGA). The AFP claimed that it had limited resources and used a model to decide which cases to pursue. It is reportedly currently looking into the activities of several poker sites in co-operation with and at the request of the FBI.

        Ahhh geezzzzzz

Oh good grief, will it never end? It seems like the politicians are always trying to control the average Joe,no matter what country Like I've said before I think they could spend their time and energy on more pressing problems.

That's interesting. The credit card companies would have to jump on that band wagon and put a process together to allow this. Chargeback deposits on what basis? I lost and want my money back?

I think you summed it up Froggy with your last sentence. It's definitely a bad thing.

That is exactly what he was proposing a few months back. I mean that seems like a really illegal thing to do. There is concerns about online gambling and illegal activity and yet he proposes this?

Not to mention he is throwing it in the casinos lap by making them run scared to even accept deposits from Australia. That suggests to me that he can't find a way to keep any type of order or ruling and has put the pressure on the operator to do his job.

What a ridiculous way to stop gambling.
I don't know how it will work...proposing illegal to stop illegal.
