i was wondering if anyone can recall where they were this last bicentennial 1976 4th of July, much like the Haley's Comet some of us may have a chance to see once in our lifetimes.

Sadly I was only 3(almost 4) year old and don't really have any special memories but if I recall, I used to play black long rubber band jumping game with neighbor kids like if there was no tomorrow-(I wanted to be the best...lol)- so that's probably what I was doing.

Considering i was 6 years of age , my preoccupation was the array of fireworks laid on fold out tables on our lawn .. everything was so carefree even as a child the air of respect of freedoms and their endeavours of liberty were there... of course life in the 70s was a bit more relaxed and slower.
