Bye Bye Christmas follow up...

He must have went home and slept on the right side of the bed, because he came back with a quote half the first one. So the whole job including supplies for $1000. That was the best we could do for an emergency electrical job with everything brand new for both houses. It is probably still not the cheapest, but we are back in business

Also, I want to say thank you for all the caring responses, but there are two people that went above and beyond because they were touched by the post.

1. Lips! She tried to give me her $100 free chip that she won from the Vegas Regal contest. I wouldn't take it, but how kind of her to do that. Bless your heart!

2. LHofsdal! WOW! LCBer's please refer to post "What comes around goes around" and read the reply by me and you will be blown away!

I promise you I did not post bye bye Christmas looking for any handouts. I am usually the one giving the handouts, so this came as big shock to me. I am still in shock and awe at the same time. I love this forum and the people here. You guys are real and kind and beautiful and special.
Here I was thinking I was just gonna sign up and get some free chips and got far far more than that. I gained a 2nd family! This is home and I am never moving out...Admin would have to evict me to get me to leave

wow slotjunkie...i am so happy things worked out for u...i had seen bye bye christmas dont usually read that thread unless somethings grabs my attention...but i just came across what goes around comes around and thought what is this about...once i read it i was like wow...that is so nice of her for what she did for u..then went to read bye bye christmas to see what u wrote there i just came out of that thread reading all the posts..thinking to myself that lcb is trully like a second family with all the help, prayers, and suggestions that were giving..i was getting teary eyed just reading the posts...then i refreshed the page and u were here with a follow up....

i am so glad things worked out for u and ur family...as parants sometimes we dont relieze who blessed our children r and just what things they can endure...i have all grown children 26-20 the baby is 17..and is the only one still home with me...and we have been through some things...but she is my right hand...my road dog...and so understanding, caring and loving...we sit in here and laugh like we r two old friends...seems we laugh the hardest when the times are toughest...

so having ur sons and husband with u enduring the times.(making pizza by the fireplace) hey whatever works..lol..was just what u needed to get through (and of course ur lcb family..God bless u and your family...

Never knew what type of angels we have here. Now we do!

When you're a little kid and the magic of Christmas is, trees, lights, presents all wrapped up, hot chocolate, cookies and Santa..I can remember getting older and feeling rather depressed that it would be gone forever and never be the same...
I couldn't have been more wrong..Playing Santa has given me more joy, magic and happiness then waiting on him ever did...
It's truly the only time of the year I really wish I was rich...
