        Hiya Guys and Dolls,

        Everyone who is in a relationship bickers at one time or another. How couples handle bickering is a whole other story.

        Some couples bicker and lapse into silence for days......sometimes even weeks......i am no stranger to that one!!! That to me is the worst........to lapse into silence and not speak for a long period of time can only ruin a relationship. Not too mention that life is way to short to not speak for a length of time.

        Some couples bicker and once out of their systems resume to normal within a few minutes like nothing ever happened.

        Yet there is the couple who bickers and needs an hour or two to calm down. Whether its to leave the house for awhile or walk into another room.

        Bickering has its advantages. Passion can be heightened tween the bickering couple and making up can be so much fun!!

        When you bicker with your beloved what category do you fall in?

        You can call me Mr. Bob Bickerson.

        I don't know what it is about bickering that for some reason i just can't help but do.

        One thing for sure is that it just doesn't linger on with me, i will be the 1st one to say i'm sorry, but there is such an intense feeling when the bickering is going on.

        First of all, I am cuddler, smoocher, touchy-touchy all the time so I can't stand not being able to do that, therefore bickers are squashed asap!
        And when my husband is cutting up(acting a fool) and I get mad at him, he comes up to me a little while later and says " I am gonna give you one more chance" but he is laughing while he is saying it, because he knows its him who needs the second chance! It's really cute and whatever I was mad at is out the window!

        We really do like each other and have lots of fun together. That is not to say we haven't had some serious hard core arguments, but even then I couldn't stand not talking/being close to him. So I would make it right!

        Slot,

        I agree with ya......i can't stand to go too long myself. But i guess some bickering is better than none at all.

        I have a friend who lives with me now who just recently split from her husband. She said to me "ya know not once did we ever fight". She went on to say she wished they had.

        There is a element of passion and intensity between two people who bicker now and again........and i understood exactly what she meant.

        Absolutely, If there was never any bickering, nagging, arguing, disagreements...I would be questioning the sincerity of the relationship!

        I would feel like if there was never any bickering or any arguement that the person just doesn't care, and whats the point of having a companion or a relationship if there are no differences of opinions, might as well be by yourself, it would drive me bananas if i was with someone who agreed with me all the time lol.. come on bicker a little!

        Yes i would question the sincerity of the relationship as Slot says, and how bored i would be too lol..

        Bickering that "gets it out of your system" can be healthy.
        Bickering that leads to great make up sex.....even better!

        Now, bickering where there is a prolonged silence and ignoring each other for weeks and weeks, hence an emotional cut-off, is not healthy.

        To start a fight, then impose a weeks long ignore phase, is certainly a form of PASSIVE AGGRESSIVENESS.  The couple needs help that point.

          Ain't THAT the truth! So did one ever consider the fact that maybe God gave women PMS to keep their desire burning for their spouse? hmmm

          My husband and I have a rule, which works out great! Used to be when we argued, we both would bring up things from the past just to throw stones. Instead, now, the Golden rule when we're in an arguement, is:

          " If it didn't happen in the last 48hrs, we don't bring it up. "

          Believe me, it has made such a difference!

          How Fights Start........

          One year, a husband decided to buy his mother-in-law a cemetery plot
          as a Christmas gift...
          The next year, he didn't buy her a gift.
          When she asked him why, he replied, "Well, you still haven't used the
          gift I bought you last year!"
          And that's how the fight started.....

          ================

          I asked my wife, 'Where do you want to go for our anniversary?'
          It warmed my heart to see her face melt in sweet appreciation.
          'Somewhere I haven't been in a long time!' she said.
          So I suggested, 'How about the kitchen?'
          And that's when the fight started....

          ================

          My wife and I are watching Who Wants To Be A Millionaire while we were
          in bed.. I turned to her and said, 'Do you want to have sex?'
          'No,' she answered.
          I then said, 'Is that your final answer?'
          She didn't even look at me this time, simply saying 'Yes.'
          So I said, 'Then I'd like to phone a friend.'
          And that's when the fight started....

          ================

          I tried to talk my wife into buying a case of Miller Light for $14.95.
          Instead, she bought a jar of cold cream for $7.95. I told her the beer
          would make her look better at night than the cold cream..
          And that's when the fight started........

          ================

          I took my wife to a restaurant. The waiter, for some reason, took my order first..
          'I'll have the strip steak, medium rare, please.'
          He said, 'Aren't you worried about the mad cow?'
          'Nah, she can order for herself.'
          And that's when the fight started.....
          ================

          My wife sat down on the couch next to me as I was flipping
          the channels.
          She asked, 'What's on TV?'
          I said, 'Dust.'
          And then the fight started...

          ================

          My wife was hinting about what she wanted for our upcoming
          anniversary.
          She said, 'I want something shiny that goes from 0 to
          200 in about 3 seconds.'
          I bought her a scale.
          And then the fight started...

          ================

          My wife and I were sitting at a table at her high school
          reunion, and she kept staring at a drunken man swigging his drink as
          he sat alone at a nearby table.
          I asked her, 'Do you know him?'

          'Yes,' she sighed, ' He's my old boyfriend...
          I understand he took to drinking right after we split up those many years ago, and
          I hear he hasn't been sober since..'
          'My God!' I said, 'who would think a
          person could go on celebrating that long?'

          And then the fight started...

          ================

          I rear-ended a car this morning.. So, there we were
          alongside the road and slowly the other driver got out of his car. You know
          how sometimes you just get soooo stressed and little things just seem
          funny?
          Yeah, well I couldn't believe it... he was a DWARF!!!
          He stormed over to my car, looked up at me, and shouted,
          'I AM NOT HAPPY!'
          So, I looked down at him and said, 'Well, then which one are you?'
          And then the fight started...

          ================

          THE BROKEN LAWN MOWER

          When our lawn mower broke and wouldn't run, my wife
          kept hinting to me that I should get it fixed..
          But, somehow I always had something else to take care of
          first, the truck, the car, playing golf,
          Always something more important to me.

          Finally she thought of a clever way to make her point. When
          I arrived home one day, I found her seated in the tall grass,
          busily snipping away with a tiny pair of sewing scissors.
          I watched silently for a short time and then went into the
          house. I was gone only a minute, and when I came out again I handed
          her a toothbrush. I said, 'When you finish cutting the grass,
          you might as well sweep the driveway.'

          The doctors say I will walk again, but I will always have a limp.
