I have gotten a lot of things really cheap from Craigslist but now i am very wary of them.

        http://abcnews.go.com/US/bodies-vehicle-found-georgia-case-missing-craigslist-car/story?id=28526184

It is tax time and i am looking to buy a used car for my son to get back and forth to work but i am not so sure about looking here. It is so very sad and tragic.

I live just over the border from Georgia, so I was following that case from when they first were reported missing.  It's a very sad story, and it's not the first with Craig's list.

On the other hand, my brother-in-law and nephew bought a very nice, used, BMW from Craigslist in September, and had a wonderful experience.  And I've sold stuff off Craigslist in the past.

I think the thing is to just make sure everything makes sense, and you meet in a public place, and you're not alone.

Two days ago my daughter's bf managed to be in the right place at the right time and got her a free jeep Cherokee.  Not a whole lot wrong with it-he jumped the battery and drove it home with no problems.  He will have to figure out how to get the lost title taken care of but I am pretty sure he will somehow manage to get that accomplished.

I have never been successful in selling anything there, but have picked up a few useful items from curb alerts.  Hard to get to the items first since I am 20 minutes away from the city but since he got the free car I am starting to look.

I don't know how you feel about firearms but I live in an 'open carry' state- meaning you can carry any type of firearm on your person as long as it is visible. I also have a concealed carry permit.

Anytime I have ever met anyone from 'Crazylist' you can bet on my gun being visible and on my hip.  Believe it or not I have never once had a problem lol.

I can imagine why you have never had a problem my dear Jodi . Fastest gun in the west (my John Wayne voice). Your right about Craigslist, great name for them.

I have sold many things on Craiglist.  People will buy almost anything.

Someone gave me carpet they had pulled up from their bedroom. Why I took it ....who the heck knows, I would never install it.  Had it stored for a couple years and decided to list it on Craigslist.  It was sold within 1/2 hour.

We bought new appliances.  Our dishwasher broke but everything else worked.  Wanted to try stainless steel so go all new.  Put the other appliances on Craigslist, expect Fridge (went in garage).  I forgot to tell my husband I posted the appliances and he had Best Buy take them away.  I was flooded with inquires.  I have heard appliances go in a heartbeat.

Craigslist is great because the layout is organized so that everyone from where ever you are located can simply choose the state, then city, and walla!  You can view, buy, sell, comment, promote, and trade with the community.  The downside is not all ads are true.  This goes for buyers who give some kind of "spam" scheme offering some kind of made up story with the means of fraud to try and take your money.  Everyone needs to avoid being negligent when doing business with others on this Craigslist website.
