It seems that the full skeleton of a dinosaur from the Jurassic period, found in Wyoming, is going up for auction in Europe. Her name is Misty and she's the first full skeleton to go up for sale in Europe with an estimated value of £400,000 to £600,000 ($640,000 to $960,000).

There's something about this that bothers me. I feel like these sort of things should be in museums not someone's home as a show piece. Call me crazy.

What do you think about this or any other historic artifacts being sold to the public? Does it depend on what it is or is it the sheer size of a dinosaur that makes it seem so wrong?

I agree Froggy, that should be well protected in a museum. How can we let something like this that is a piece of history sit in someone's living room? Hopefully they smartin up b4 it's sold!

Makes me think maybe this is not so historical and there a loads of these skeletons laying around. I  find that really hard to believe and agree with you all the way froggy. This would have to be for someone who is filthy rich!

I guess you need a pretty big home to put Misty in once you buy it! I agree with Froggy, should be in a museum.

I agree it should be in a museum or stored in a museum's warehouse.  Hopefully, a museum will buy it.

My guess is that it will be bought by some of the well known museums. It is too big for private collectors, but then again, there might be some rich eccentric who promised his spoiled kid a dinosaur for Christmas

It should definitively be in a museum so people who are interested can come and see it. But it is not a surprise that it could end up in a private collection.

Well, speaking of dinosaurs, have you seen the indiegogo campaign from the guys who want to build a 13 foot T-Rex with Christopher Walken's head
