      Hiya Guys and Dolls,

I was talking to a friend about celebrities in the lime light. And the subject came up about their significant other being jealous. She said that her boyfriend gets jealous if she makes comments over a hot star or singer.

To be honest i was a bit surprised by this. I really didn't think that guys or gals got jealous over finding a celebrity hot. I can understand i suppose if they went on and on or shared some fantasy. That would be disrespectful to the one you are with. But finding someone sexy that you know you will never have anyway, i'm struggling to understand.

I am curious to know if anyone has ever been faced with this dilemma and had to keep it quiet because their partner gets ticked off.

I've had friends/acquaintances in the past who have said their other half had the hump cos they fancied George Clooney or another tasty celeb!

Fortunately, it's not happened to me....as yet.

My husband thinks Kim Z from Housewives of Altanta is hot.  I just OL at him since she has fake hair, boobs, nails, face, etc. etc.  Does it hurt me?  Heck no.  Am I jealous?  Far from it.

My husband will tell me if he like a ladies outfit/shoes/hair/look, while we are out and I don't care one bit.  He doesn't say it rudely or disrespectfully to me.  I also tell him if I find a man/woman attractive.

If he oogled over a friend or neighbor... that would be another story.

My hubby, who used to be in the entertainment industry, has been around a lot of celebrities. He knows I find Daniel Craig to be very sexy. So much so, that he went out and bought all of his James Bond movies for me. He would introduce me if he were still in the business. He does not get jealous because he knows that I may have an infatuation, I wouldn't do anything about it if given the chance. Just because we are attracted to a celebrity's image doesn't mean they are the person they portray. As my hubby will tell you; out of every actress he found to be very sexy, he was always disappointed when meeting them in real life.

What if your husband continually picks celebrities on kiddie shows and movies to watch and drool over, makes comments about how hot some celebrity pre-teen is ("she's an eight year old hottie!!"), looks at little people on TV and gets all hot and bothered because they look like a child, but also have (small) breasts?  Or if you catch them in the bathroom whacking it out while looking at a teen or cheerleader magazine.  I doubt you would be jealous, right?

Or if it were an adult celeb they were obsessing over in the same ways, would that be the same as if you just heard the once-in-awhile "that person is hot"?

If the first paragraph were true, I would be very alarmed and worried I may  be living with a pedophile.  The image you described gives me the heebie-jeebies.

      Hi Chilly,

This is not the first time you have made a post regarding this. I had to fight tooth and nail not to respond then. I am no one to tell what you should do. Maybe it is not even my place, but being you put out there........ All i can say is your better off alone. And if i were you, i would never have a young child near him.

Me, too, Gabby!  It does happen, though, especially now that they've got shows like "toddlers and tiaras"  I think society goes too far in this area and I wonder what some parents are thinking making their little kids into, well, for lack of a better description, little objects of adult fantasies.  I think that these kind of shows and ways of making children appear as little hotties (again for lack of a better term) puts some adults in the wrong frame of mind when they might otherwise have been in the right frame of mind, know what I mean?  "Lead us not into temptation"!

      No chilly..........

I don't see it that way at all. Yes they may be too young to be exploited as beauty pageant contenders but that is NO excuse for a man to obsess over them. All that is, is an excuse to justify a man's behavior and shift the blame on someone else.

There is absolutely no excuse other than there was a desire to begin with and this kind of person is called a pedophile.

Statistically, the most "active" pedophiles are women, according to the FBI.
Whereas, the most "passive" pedophiles are men.
In the past three years, 85% of all arrests nationwide have been female, mostly teachers.

I understand what y'all are saying.  But I think that if you have to win a child's pageant by wearing wigs, false teeth, clothes that are overly revealing, fake eyelashes, spray on tans, fake fingernails, adult makeup, and do "sexy" moves, it's exploiting the child.  But then, that's just my opinion.  Seeing these 4 year olds sucking on a pacifier and screaming at their parents and getting away with it, while dressed up like a porn star is just a little much.  For me.  I'd prefer (and this is probably why I'm not in the pageant business) to see the children look more natural, and be judged on their talent, their personalities, and not have to be so fake.

As for pedophiles, having been the victim of a few, they are sick bastards.  Have I ever noticed an attractive child?  Yes!  Would I want to have sex with one?  NOOOOOOO!!!!!

Are some people born pedophiles, like some people are born gay?  Gee, I don't think so.  Something(s) happened along the way to make children attractive to them.  Maybe I am wrong.  But if they are constantly exposed to images of children dressed up to look like smokin' hot babes, it seems it might tip the scales at least a little bit toward whatever it is that makes a pedophile a pedophile.

When I grew up we played cops and robbers, cowboys and indians, had play guns and rifles, and some of us had real guns and rifles we were taught to use.  Not all of us grew up to be gangsters.  These days, buying toy guns has become a "bad" thing because it leads to violence and gunplay.  Right?  Well, if you follow the same path with other things like overly sexualizing young children, doesn't it lead to making them sexual objects in some cases just like playing with guns lead some to a violent adulthood?

I wouldn't go out of my way to put my kids or grandkids in a situation where I know some of the people watching may have impure thoughts.  You can't keep the pedophiles away in any situation.  They are there.  But you don't have to advertise your youngsters as hot stuff.  It's like sending out an invitation.  Unfortunately.  And in my opinion.  It's playing with fire.

I have nothing against pageants in general.  I am talking about the extreme versions that are becoming so popular.  Take a look for yourself by doing a google search for "toddlers and tiaras".  Probably 90% of these images are okay, IMHO.  The other 10% though, are portraying children in adult manners that IMHO just go too far.

but to get back on topic, no I wouldn't be jealous if my mate obviously noticed a celebrity or non-celebrity as being "hot".  I wouldn't want to hear things that were said to make me feel somehow compared in a bad light while they were doing so, though.  That would tick me off.

      Chilly,

Again you are shifting the blame on the child. If what you are saying is true then there is something seriously wrong. Sometimes when things are just to hard to deal with we tend to shift the blame on someone or something else.

I hate to be the one to tell you this but there is seriously something wrong and its not the TV shows he is watching. I always try to be as open and understanding as i can but i'm afraid on this issue it's where i have to draw the line.

But i will tell you this, anyone that preys on children should be locked up.  It is about time that people quit blaming everyone else in their lives and started to buck up to the plate and admit there is a problem

If you know a person like this or live with a person like this and you ignore it, you are either an enabler or in DENIAL.

Whoa, there, Lips.  gosh in no way am I shifting the blame on the child!  Thought I was putting the responsibiltiy on the parents.

And yes, you are right they should lock up people who prey on children.  And you shouldn't be involved with pedophiles.  And pedophiles are bad.  Sorry my post was interpreted in any other way.  And yes, there are many things seriously wrong!

I don't think I'm alone in my opinion.  the highest rated comments on this clip were:
the sickest thing I have ever seen! THUMBS UP IF HER PARENTS SHOULD BE JAILED!
      and
This parent needs to be turned in to Social Services!!! Putting cone breasts on a child & parading them as if she was a circus dog. These parents have mental conditions & need to stop & evaluate WHY they are putting their babies through this!!!! At that young age they are like sponges and will only want or like what their environment exposes them to!!! Very disturbing!!!!!

On the other hand, the judges and some audience members seem to think this 2 year old in the cone bra was peachy and keen.

I'll put in my 2cents on beauty pageants.  While it is not the fault of the child or parent (obviously it's the fault of the perv. who gets off on kids) BUT!!!  and a big ole' BUT!!, if I know there are pedophiles and creeps out there searching the tube and internet for little girls dressed up like adults, why would I put my child in that position?

Nobody deserves to be mugged but should I walk down a low class, crime ridden dark alley with $100 bills taped all over my body and then 'cry foul' when someone knocks me out and takes the money?  Don't think so.
