My Lab "Tick" had black spots on his, my youngest nephew once said "Why does he have holes in his tounge?"
I explained they were spots as he had "Chow Blood" in him and he laughed about that..So did I

Dogs can sense cancer in people
A Golden retriever is the smartest among all the breeds
anklets on a poodle were not originally for show but to keep the feet warmer when pond diving for there masters game during hunting season
A solid black tongue is also prefferedin the Shar Pei and not all of either breed have Solid black tongues, some are speckles
Some Dogs(in all breeds) have a black dot on the back of the tongue, it's said(not proven)that the dot is a mark of more intelect.
