With summer coming to a close and fall fast approaching.....one thing i won't miss is bbq'ing on the grill in the winter....snow or rain!
One recipe that has been handed down in our family is BBQ brisket. A recipe from Texas. Its a great recipe to make the day before...the day of the bbq will be ready to roll without all the fuss.
One Beef Brisket...trimmed of fat.
Place brisket in a large roasting pan and add the following:
Sprinkle peppercorns generously on top
Sprinkle garlic salt generously on top
Add one large bottle of bbq sauce and pour on top of brisket and in pan.
Fill empty bottle of bbq sauce with water half way and pour in pan.
Cover with tin foil tightly and bake at a 225 oven for 8 hours or til fork tender.
Place brisket in fridge over nite. The next day cut in slices and brush with more bbq sauce and place on cookie sheet and cook on the grill til heated through.
It is so tender it will fall apart....mmmm mmmmm good!
