Generic or Name Brand?

We all know times are hard and we have to do what we can to save a dollar here or there (except giving up gambling.lol)
When I shop, there's some things I can buy the store brand of, and others Just HAVE to be name brand. Let's see if we all think alike, and start a list .. Here's my 1st

Generic: Paper towels
Name Brand: toilet paper!

Generic Dr Pepper
Name Brand-absolutely have to go with toilet paper

Generic bread
Heinz ketchup

Name Brand: Canned Fruits and Veggies (if i don't buy fresh)
Generic: Napkins and paperplates

Name brand- cocacola, toilet paper (high end name brand), Heinz ketchup, Jack Daniels, Jose Cuervo,
Generic-OMG the Good Value brand french fried onions, they are way way tastier, bigger, smell-goodier than the kind in the can. Yeah, napkins, plastic cutlery, *maybe* paper towels, and anything I buy just for Jacob if he is here...

Name brand poptarts
generic cheese, not the sliced kind

Name Brand: Oreos

Generic: bleach

I buy generic everything, except Mac and cheese...has to be Kraft..cuz it's the cheesiest !!!!

Oh, and I have to buy name brand laundry soap...that SUN stuff is for the birds.

Brand Name:Soda(Mountain Dew) and Laundry Soap

Dollar store items..
Laundry soap ($1 for a 40 load bottle)

(Roomie buys Costco toilet paper not bad though)
Non-Generic
Miller Black Label Beer
Coffee (Depends what's on sale, but never generic)
International Delight creamer (Unless I hit Winco, then the generic stuff)


Generic
PB and bread.
Drugs (WAY cheaper)
Rice
Value-pak frozen veggies (Generic type)
Seasonings
Pants/shirts (Thrift store/Bi-mart)
