Seems like Uncle Sam will get you one way or the other. I did my taxes and was anticipating the refund already spending the money in my head when low and be hold i got a nice little code 1211. I thought it was an audit  . I went to turbo tax to see if  maybe my eyes were deceiving me  8'|. I found out between Google search and turbo tax that this same thing that held up many taxes last year was now holding up taxes this year.  The code basically means if you filed early the IRS needs more time to process. The down side is your not getting an expected DD.I also found out it mostly happened to turbo tax users. Next year i will pay a tax per parer the killer fees  . I just wanted to give you guys a heads up and i hope this doesn't happen to any one else.

Yes the same kind of delays happened last year. Seems like it is getting harder and harder for them to keep up especially for the early filers. Thanks for the heads up Rena!

That's really weird... It simply does not pay out to be fair and square...
Did it happen to any of you to have an audit? Or know someone who did?
We don't have anything like that in my country, but I think that I would also hurry to finish and send my tax report as soon as possible...

For some reason when you posted there was a USA flag by your name. Its fixed now. Thanks so much Lootva for your feed back.  The US government can be quite vicious sometimes. Maybe i should move to another country lol.

I've seen the flag, but I guess it was some glitch.
Tell you what, when you decide to move out of US, will gladly change places with you
Not sure where you live, but I prefer NYC and Boston (out of the places I have been to) ;=)

Rena Btw if you can order a copy of your transcripts then your taxes are finished processing. The WMR is not updating as often as it has been in years past.

@Lootva- I live in Georgia (u really would not like the weather here) @ Jodi- thanks i will try to check them. If i can just make it to whenever the IRS wants to send my money i will be great. I am most defiantly in need of some stress free time. If this weather gets better i think a picnic is in order. I will spread a blanket and just enjoy looking at the sky. It makes me feel good just knowing you guys give such positive support and feed back. That is why i have always loved LCB.  :'X

Just want to do a quick update. All is going better for me as far as the weather and my hubby working long hrs. He is a lumberjack so when the weather is bad he doesn't work. We are getting things done that getting our taxes would have helped a lot. I usually do not ask for help because i have pride (maybe a bit too much) but sometimes you have to swallow that and ask.  My family pulled together and saw us threw a very rough time and i want to just say thank you. All debts are paid and im back to gaming albeit a lot less then what i am used to(not a high roller anyway).I do feel a bit sad though because in swallowing my pride i did ask for help and i feel shamed that i did have to  . Even when i am at my lowest i have never asked anyone for anything i have always worked for whatever i get. I am hoping with a trip to IRS things will get resolved but i do keep a watch on that 1121 code and it seems like slowly but surely things are getting resolved for some people.I hope i can update this thread to finally got paid but in the mean time im just thankful that things are a bit easier for my family.

Good to hear that things are better! I don't think there's anything wrong with asking for help, and I would say it is a wise thing to do. I have made the mistake of being too proud to ask for help one to many times, and I just know it can backfire really bad.
Anyway, hope you will resolve this issue as soon as possible!

Keep your chin up rena35 and please know that there is no shame whatsoever in asking for and receiving help when you truly need it. I know how you feel as I have experienced some tough times both emotionally and financially and been compelled to ask loved ones for aid. Having spent some time in the US and with close family still living there, I also know that the American mantra of 'just work hard and you will make it' is not so easy to achieve for everyone, especially in the current economic climate. I am glad that you were able to get the assistance you need from people who probably understand your predicament and know that it arose from circumstances not of your own making. Hopefully the government comes through for you in good time and you get the tax refund you deserve sooner rather than later.

Good Luck Rena,  I hope everything works out okay.  I think this is probably the most stressful time for me (taxes).  I don't mind paying them so much as having to file and do all the paperwork.  Just wish there was an easier way.
