I have always liked the paintings of Vincent Van Gogh and the impressionists in general. 

Van Gogh was an impressionist for a while but his art became more abstract near the end and he contributed to the development of expressionism. 

I love the period he had where he emulated Japanese Artwork as well. 

I used to have one of those huge coffee table books with huge gorgeous prints. I gave it away and regret that now. 

- hajime sorayama- an airbrush artist from japan. maybe the best known of them? but paints these chromed up ladies and all kinds of stuff with an airbrush. the attention to detail in his work is insane. im not going to put a picture here,too many to choose from i guess. so google it yourself.

great to see Carvaggio among this modern art. fantastic artist
