    Since yesterday this website and many others wouldnt load what so ever, really annoying, so today i just found a solution on my ISP's website and it gave a proxy to use, and that is what i am using now, really really annoying.

    so just thought i would give you all the heads up

    Try resetting the connection at the router.  Also check your firewall hasn't updated and reset your settings.

    tried all that, it is a fault in some parts of the uk, i forgot to mention that when i first posted, but thanks smiley

    that is why i got the proxy, it was given on the support forums for this issue smiley

  • Glad its all fixed Lucky. I had Virgin and switched to Sky and I have no problems.

    I think VM is rubbish personally.  I use Sky - it's so cheap and its very reliable.  If you telephone them with a problem, you actually get an English person on the end of the phone!

    I used to be BT and if you telephoned with a problem, I got someone who couldn't even pronounce my surname!

  • It's great you got your internet back. It does get annoying when internet isn't working and I hate when there are some "technical difficulties". But I have a good provider here, if I don't have a internet my bill at the end of a month is reduced.

    That's pretty good that your bill is reduced.  I've never had that happen to me.  I was without internet for 3 weeks once and had to use a broadband dongle so I could be online.  They didn't knock anything off at all even though I complained.  Needless to say I'm not with that company any more.

    Yeah it is good that you got a reduction in your bill, in the uk it is a fixed amount, i hear in the usa, most broardband is pay per usage so if u dont use it, it doesnt cost basically smiley

    but blueday, i would have been on that phone complaining high and low for hours and days if i had too, that is unacceptable service they should have done everything in thier power to try and get your internet back up and running again, 3 weeks is a long time for them to fix an issue, you should have carried on complaining until u got some form of compensation smiley

    but you know me, i like to complain when and where ever i can haha, we pay for a service so we should expect to be treated good and fair when it goes bad if you get what i am saying..

    lol yeah i understand that lol and that can be annoying and makes it worse too,

    i slept bad again sad, still cant believe i won all that money, im just waiting now for it to go in, it should go in my bank today, probly around 3pm - 5pm

    it usually goes in, i hope it doesn't take longer cos it is more money lol sad

  • They are pretty good at paying up so I'm sure you will get it in the normal waiting time and hopefully you will get a good night's sleep.  At least your internet is working properly now so you can entertain yourself with games and the like until your cash arrives.

    Yes, some companies avoid that, of course. I remember, I didn't have Internet for three days and they reduced the bill, hmmm... it was around 3 euros, which was extremely nice of them. They sent me email saying that my bill would be reduced because they had some technical difficulties during the weekend.
