        I went by the bank yesterday to withdraw 380 dollars to pay bills.Well after i put my card in the atm and went thru the process of withdrawing no money came out and a msg showed  out of service.I asked my sister to stand by the atm and went into the bank.I spoke to the assistant mngr who said try the one inside the bank.My balance was showing funds not avaliable. I was very upset at this point >:( >:( >:(and i asked them to replay the tape from the atm outside to see i didnt get my money.They said it would be back in my account by 12 tonight as soon as the atm realizes the funds werent released.Well my moneys not back and after speaking with csr for my debit card it can take up to 45 days to get it cleared up and file a dispute amp;. I wanted to see what u guys would do.I need my money to pay bills and now im really up sh@# creek(sorry in advance for the profanity).Im at a loss as to what to do.At a major bank it should be something set up in case this happens >:( i feel like i was robbed.As bad as things are right now and as much as my hrs have been cut at work every penny counts.Now i dont even have gas money to go to my dr.  :'( :'(

        Rena, I had a similar problem and was told the same very long wait period, but the money did get back in my account within, if I remember correctly, a day or two.  At least you got your ATM card back.  Sometimes can keep it!  I'd go back to the bank after noon today in case the money still isn't back, ask to speak to the manager, and be firm that you need some special attention to your problem.  I hope you get your money back a lot more quickly than you are thinking right now.

        Hi Rena, i'm so sorry that this is happen dear!!!i don't think this is a good visit card for this Bank. I would try to speak again with a Manager and tell him that you are in great financial troubles about this . I would tell him to that you don't have now enough money to buy gas for your car, and you have to go to work with your car. And tell him that this Bank is responsible if you loose your work or if you get higher bills because you are not able to pay them. I think a Bank like ATM should take care of you and they should be culant and put the money back and do then the research for it. I hope you will get your money soon!!! Josie

          Was there someone who put a hold on it like a merchant? Or did anything happen that they are freezing your account? What a bummer. I would hang out there all day till they find out what happened if it takes more than 2 or 3 days.

        Rena,so sorry to hear of the bank problem.A few months back someone got the numbers off my ATM card and ordered some things online.I had to fill out a form too and was told it could take up to a month to get the money back.With-in 3 days I received it.I agree talk again to a manager and explain your situation,it NOT your fault or responsibility for the ATM machine failure.I hope it gets taken care of....like today!!!!

          no i never use this card for online purchases i only use it for bill pay(to fund my gambling i deposit to netspend at the check cashing place then i deposit to my quick tender account.)anyways i spoke to my local news wsbtv channel 2 and they said if i speak to the mngr and its not resolved call them back

        So sorry that you have to go through trouble.
        Almost exactly same thing happened to me once too...I withdrew $900 from atm, and it didn't give me the money, wow I was freaking out thinking they won't believe me or something.
        My case I dealt with it right there and then.
        They told me the same thing well...I refused to wait and told them whatever and however it might take, they better fix their error... I recorded the whole process just in case.
        Took them over an hour but they did fix it.
        Hopefully you will hear from them soon and things will all get taken cared of...

          well i went by the bank and they said since it wasnt there card they really couldnt do anything but they did fax papers to the other bank for me that should speed up the process between 2 days and a week thanks for all of your support

            Maybe there's a good reason why this happened. Like a save. And you still have it. As aggravating as it is, it should have happened to me regularly. I needed to slow down.  Who knows Lady Luck may have planned on a delayed date. I hope so.
