  • Hiya Guys and Dolls,

If you have the ability to time travel which way would go -  back in time or into the future? Go as far back as the dinosaurs or travel back to a century that is the most intriguing to you. Maybe going 100 years into the future and see what new technology developed and how people are living.

I think if i had a choice i would go back in time, it is almost kinda of scary to see what the future holds. I am sure in the 1500, 1600 and even 1800's people during that time had the same fear.

I think it would be pretty cool to go back to the dinosaur era but definitely steer clear of huge creatures!

  • Hard to say..
I'd love to travel into the future as I wonder if someday people will discover the secret of immortality for example (who knows, perhaps it's possible  grin I'm an atheist so no afterlife for me  tongue) or manage to create a perfect Virtual Reality  <3
If I could travel back in time (which is impossible - travelling into future actually could be done - if we manage to construct vehicle that moves with speed close to the speed of light) then I'd say - medieval europe  wink when the law was right.... Well, it's better not to share my opinion about this one  wink

  • I'd go forward in time - find out the cure for cancer (and grab a few lottery results while I'm there).

  • I wouldn't go too far back, just to the time of my childhood, those were fun times! Well, maybe I'd leave out the Romanian communist regime though, didn't like that too much smiley

  • well going back to dinosaurs times might be little bit dangerous dont you think lol ;f

if you were the only one who knows the cure for cancer then you would be sooo rich that lottery winnings would be pennies for you  grin

And yeah, going back to dinosaurs times would be probably one way trip..  grin
  • Just my luck i would travel to he future right as the world was ending.I can see it now, stepping out of a time machine to a big bomb dropping ending life as we know it. The past would be interesting though. I would head to Egypt to see the pyramids being built. smiley

  • I would definitely go into the future. I just can't wait for science to answer some "burning" questions that many people want to know. And I'm curious to see whether we are going to destroy ourselves or we'll start caring how our descendants are going to live.  I hope we will realize that we can't destroy this planet only ourselves; the Earth is safe until the Sun swallows it. smiley

  •             Wow,  this one could take all day.  I'd like to  go in both directions  but first I'd like to go back a few years and correct  mistakes I've made in my life;  try to make things right so my present wouldn't be so screwed up.  Funny thing,  If you could go back and try and warn people of a disaster or really shitty decisions  they're about to make do you think you could really change anything.  This is a fascinating aspect of time travel that literature and science fiction grapples with frequently.  Makes for good drama any way you look at it.

  • I would definitely go back. No way I'd go into the future. That just seems up there with knowing the exact date that you're going to die. No thank you!

I have to agree about the dinosaurs lips. I'm fascinated by them and it would be amazing to see what they really looked like. I'd fast forward to the time of Henry VIII. I want to see him in person and figure out how he got 6 women to marry him. laugh_out_loud I'd also wait around for Elizabeth I to be queen. Gosh there are a lot of things I'd go back to. I'd also want to see the beauty of the USA when it was just home to native tribes.

  • Ahhh there would be so many reasons to go back in time and to go forward especially after reading some of these posts.

I think it would be really cool to see how the pyramids were built or go into the future and see flying cars  tongue

  •                 I'd like to go back and keep my winnings instead of reversing cashouts and being uber greeedy.
    LOL.

  •                 I'd like to go back and keep my winnings instead of reversing cashouts and being uber greeedy.
    LOL.

This was the first thing that came to my mind  when I read lipstick's post  laugh_out_loud

    Uhhhh . . . . . . YEAH!      exclamation

The atmosphere was not the mixture it is now, and has been for the past million years or so.  It would be poisonous to us! And we'd have to wear protective suits. Not so much to protect us, but the fauna of the age, as we carry so many viruses, they are part of our DNA. We could wipe out the species from which we evolved, then where would we be?

But I would love to have lived, and probably did, during the time just after the pyramids were built. According to more than one documentary I've seen, there was an "electrical" sensation in the air. Not that would shock us, but help us be healthy, and helped the crops to grow. One man, a respected scholar, went to the top of the highest pyramid during the late 1800s. He had a bottle of wine with him and a charge went from the pyramid to his wine bottle and would have shocked him had he not had it wrapped in a newspaper.  According to one old man (Hashi, I think) who was the holder of the knowledge until he died just a few years ago, the attitude of the people was that of a kind, benevolent species.  Also, they used sound to heal.

You may not believe me, but if you go to YouTube and watch the 11 part series on the pyramids, it is all explained in detail. It's really cool to learn stuff like that.

    Be well,

    Loni
  • I would love to travel just a few years into the future. I worry so much about alot of things if I could just see how things turn out that might alleviate some of my fears

  • i would travel into the future to see how putin conquers the world lol

  • Nirvanna, it will be like this

  • Yeah, I'd definitively would go to the future to see how we have come to our senses and started respecting each other, the nature, and this planet we should feel privileged  to live on. smiley
