It's Publisher Clearing House Time.....

HEY...Guess what...it's that time of year again here int he USA.

I got my "Publishers Clearing House Sweepstakes" in the mail. 

All I have to do is put this sticker here, this sticker here, and this sticker here, and I am ready to mail it off. (It's a sticker book for adults) 

I feel TEN MILLION $ richer already.

Does anyone bother with these things?  Does anyone really win?  Do you know anyone ,that knows anyone, that knows anyone, that has won? 

Remember, you don't have to purchuse anything to win. (However, once they see you haven't ordered anything, they simply put your sticker book in the trash) HAHAHA

Has anyone ever seen the "Prize Patrol" Van in their neighborhood?

Yes, they got CAUGHT dumping thousands of such envelopes and at that point, I vowed to never enter and buy my magazines from the publisher instead of enriching those jerks..That is if I care for any, which I don't.

I'm sure now they shred them now and then dump them, you can't tell what is what after that!

I talked to my step-father about this, he says he has been a loyal member since 1962, he sent in every single thing that ever comes and never misses deadlines, walking miles in sleet and snow, or sweltering heat,to get to the postoffice, (his words lol) he has been through times of not ordering a thing, and times of ordering 100's of dollars worth of stuff, he pulled out a stack of "you could be our next winner" and "you are one of three holding the grand prize winning number" ... very hopeful and faithfully with a smile he says.. "I could be"

PMM.. that is 48 years, never winning one single prize...


I remember once i got letters saying i won!..the prize was a pencil with their name on it ....

I've never heard of this....but from the replies, it sounds the same as "Readers Digest" over here.  This has been going for donkeys years and they send out letters randomly saying you could win a huge prize.

This is one of those lovely old English sayings over here.  I really don't know the origin but my Grandmother used to say it all the time.  Glad it made you chuckle.  My Nan (grandmother) used so many - to list them would surely make you laugh some more.

Oh..and a donkey can live up to the age of 40 so I guess that might be something to do with it.
