Just in time for Spring Break- $1M in pot washes up on beach!

Talk about a killer Spring Break - finding $1M in pot on the beach!

More than $1M in pot was found on a beach in Los Angeles on Thursday (March 7), near Vanderberg Air Force Base. Playing the part of party poopers, Homeland Security officials removed the $1M in pot from the beach, which had seemingly spilled from a crashed boat nearby.

Base personnel were apparently searching for suspects, and were told to stay away from the area. Or bring snacks.

This story reminds me of the night in George West, Texas when we all heard the low flying plane overhead.  The next day many residents were combing the ds.  Seems the plane had been carrying 100lb bales of high-grade Colombian Red Bud, had been spotted by the Border Patrol, and were ditching the evidence out the cargo door over the south texas brush country.  The many bales of discarded killer weed were never recovered (by the police!).

Isn't pot one of the cheapest drugs? That had to be some stash that washed ashore. I would've loved to see their faces when they spotted it.

not that I'd necessarily know (wink wink) but the kind pictured above can cost around 25 dollars a gram or more.  But the prices shown as street value are always greatly exaggerated.  At the gram price, my calculations (and don't ever trust my calculations) would be there were only 88 pounds found.  I read a little of another article on the same find that said the weed was wrapped in tiny packages and hidden in the sand.  So it just "washing up" is not as likely as the would-be-smugglers wrecked their boats and were hoping to return after hiding the stash.

I've never found a stash of marijuana anywhere.  But I did find a half a marijuana ciggie on the concrete base of one of those tall lights in the Target parking lot, and boy, did it smell really pretty.  I almost shouted "BINGO!"

I sometimes have an eagle-eye and that was a great spot I made at target.
