It was nice to win in monthly contest in LCB+LBB, it makes me think one past contest when part of prizes were Kiva vouchers. That was super <i_love_lcb>
Thinking about that help me make decision that everytime in future when I won in contest it is time to claim Kiva voucher soon as possible and give a Kiva loan. Like I did today.
And it should not be too easy, just for winnings,I am going to save from normally activity in LCB 25 euros during summer so I can give at least 1 or 2 new loans via Kiva before August.
Would you like to do that too? It would be nice if Kiva Lending Team: lcb.org could give many new loans to people who desperately need it!
It would be super if you post in this topic during summer did you able to give new loans
Kiva, my personal summer project, join in!

Well, just thinking also of buying another Kiva before August, hobitgirli . In a small way, I/we can help those needing funds to help them better their life.
Just hoping that what we lend to Kiva, 0 % , must also what the Non Government Associations that directly deals with Kiva, do to those recipients. I read somewhere that Kiva lend to NGOs/Cooperatives at zero percent but these NGOs/Cooperatives lend them to these people we see at Kiva website at a higher interest . Hope I am wrong . . er . . . what I read was not true.
Though that will not stop me from being a Kiva member . <i_love_lcb> -

Well my only question and I realize this may be a bit of paranoia going on with me. Mainly because I've had a few bad experiences with crowd based lending before.
Has anyone actually had a loan repaid in a reasonable time frame? Like I realize I just loaned to someone on the 3rd of May. Yet I would have though within the month my first payment would have already posted. yet my loan is still sitting on 0% repaid.
Do these loans take a significant amount of time to be repaid, or do some repay quickly? Does it all vary on the borrower and country there in? Also do loans actually default on Kiva? Just seems like a waste of a prize from LCB if my first loan goes into default. So all I think are a few valid questions before I go jumping in on any other loans. -

That is something you can't change, some websites cheat some are really doing a great job while helping the ones that need it the most. I am also kinda paranoid, but just do your part - "lend" someone 25$ or so and hope it will arrive to their address. All the lending site around the globe got "haters" who trashtalk about their project. I truly believe that Kiva is doing it all right.

I truly believe also that via Kiva can help those people who need help. I start giving loans just in this year so my loans cant be full paid back, but I have receave already small payment which I have donate to Kiva. My top priority is that money which I loan is really going to person who definitely need that, if situation is that he/she cant pay back I dont care so much as long as person can buy with my money what need. And if can pay back I will give for that money new loan to new person. I think it could be long time charity work some way.

After the loan has funded for the individual I have loaned funds to, I go to that persons profile I click on Loan Details. It has a column called Loan Length, my current loan to Ma. Linda says 9 months. Then I click on the column that says Repayment Schedule. It brings you to a screen that says each of the individual months the loan will be getting paid(estimated, actual, and comments).
Some loans start paying the following month, others start two to four months after the loan begins. Some loans pay equal installments, some pay back in varying amounts, all this is stated in the Repayment Schedule, so there are no surprises.
I like to loan to people that are not on their first loan. -

Summer promotion failed, sadly :'( I did claimed Kiva voucher in this week but did not remember that I should claim more casino chips first. Unfortunately my PayPall account is not active so I cant donate or loan via that to Kiva. Also regularely casino places where I play possible chips are claimed and there is no point me to deposit 25-50e to casinos just to get chance claim casino chips and after that Kiva voucher. It was anyway good idea but now somebody have to wait few extra weeks that it is possible me to give loan. Sad but work continue anyway

I just purchased two Kiva last week , just as I promised, for the month of August deadline, hobitgirl
Though, fingers crossed, it gets approved
I do really like to help, now that I seen that are many of my countrymen needing funds to better their lives. -

I just manage give my 6. Kiva loan, this time
