Latest Trip to the casino

Hi Gang:
    Just wanted to share my trip to Soring Eagle Casino with you all from last night.
I arrive, already tense, as I just know my favorite Dean Martin game will be taken.  I come around the corner and there it is....and it's OPEN. Between me and my game was a crowd of mall walkers, and people overall in no type of hurry.  I dropped my head, put out my arms like a line backer, and headed thru the crowd, determined to get there before someone grabbed that game.
I get the game, just as others were browsing over to it. I grabbed that chair like I was in  a game of musical chairs and it was the last chair to be had.   I settle in, all smiles take a deep breath, and .....THEN.....suddenly, my eyes go to the left of me at who exactly I am sitting next to. (there is no one to the right of me, it is a wall) 
    It is an older woman, and I can tell before I even go to lite up, that this is going to be a problem.  I think of Lips, and her last encounter with a non smoker at the casino and dont want to relive what she went thru, thats for sure.  I say to myself..."I have every right to smoke. If she doesn't like it, she'll have to move." My subconcious mind was much stronger than I was at this moment cause I was really frightened to light up.  I start to play, and the machine right away is decent to me. I get my first bonus, and what symbol do I pick but the best one....DEAN.  I pray for no pooper bonuses like this game is famous for when you do manage to pick the Dean symbol.  First spin, wild party symbols all front row.   $80 bucks. 4 spins to go. Spin 2,3,4, landed me nothing, but then again on spin 5 I had wild symbols all along the front row, and another $80 bucks. YES!!! Okay, I have to light up.  I no sooner do and the lady next to me who all along has paid me no mind at all, starts staring at me.  I can literally feel the heat off her eyes on the side of my head. I try not to make eye contact which is really what she wants I can tell.  As she realizes I am not going to look at her she goes back to her game. Yet now, she has changed.  Instead of casually pushing the buttons, she is slapping them. I mean SLAP. SLAP. SLAP.  Talk about annoying. It was loud, and with each slap, I jumped.  I knew why she was mad, yet I also knew I was not leaving my favorite machine etheir.  So that is how the night progressed, She was a slapping, I was a puffing.  Neither one of usd was being forced by the other to leave the machine we were on.  Then, I imagine it was her husband, shows up. They proceed to talk about me, right in front of me, but to eachother about how smelly the smoke is, and how awful it is they have to sit next to a smoker. All the while I continue to hit bonuses, and could of cared less what they had to say.  We all know when we hit a bonus the first thing we do is light up. I played that game for hours, and she stayed right where she was, just a slapping away. At one point she actually stood up and tried to act like she was trying to get away from the smoke. Why is it, in a place full of smokers, I get next to one of the few people NOT smoking???      
        Here comes another bonus. An identical one like I had in the beginning. I pick the Dean Symbol, and wilds in the front row twice. $160 bucks. I look down at my balance and I was at $351.00. I figure I am done pressing my luck so I go to cash out.   I never felt so unwanted in my whole life when as I was leaving the lady mutters a "Thank God" under her breath.   OUCH.
        I played a little more after that, and before I sat down anywhere I looked to make sure they were smoking around me. I managed to head home with $251.00 and I was okay with that.  It was not my most comfortable night at the casino, but one of profit non the less.

I hate non smokers like that.  They seem to forget that we have as much right as they do.  I am sooooooooo glad you stood your ground and wonnnnnnnnnnnnnn.

First and foremost congrats on your win! I'm glad you stood your ground and did not move. You nailed it when you said she began to slap those keys....thats a typical symptom.....and talk about you to a spouse or friend...classic.

I think next time i go to the casino...and i sense its a non smoker...im gonna say this......I'm about to lite up....start slappin them keys baby....call ur spouse on your cell phone...get em over here fast.....so you can talk about me. But please please dont forget inbetween "slappin", wave those hands violently back and fourth...oh yes one more thing...pause now and again and glare at me...and mumble under your breath.  You ready.....let the games begin........lite!!!!!!

Haha.....that was a funny story, but when you got up and she said "thank god" I think out of spite I would have had to turn around and say "Well maybe 1 more $20.00 and light up again as I sat back down....lol..........congrats on your winnings!
