  • I been real bad folks, bow my head in shame. Super Bowl is Sunday man 2nd biggest pig out day after Thanksgiving they said today in the paper. Will I survive it I dunno.

  • Well, stay strong liquorman, just try and eat as less as possible. smiley I mean, it's only one day, you will go through it.

  • Lips - 1 pound in a week is great.  The slower you lose it, the easier it is to keep it off.  Well done.

    Liquorman - sounds like it's going to be a tough day for you.  Try and remember how hard you've worked to lose those pounds before you start feasting on superbowl day.

  • Well I'm in the same boat with you Lips lost a pound gained it back and now nothing! I am working out like crazy with no cheating. I'm hoping next week to drop at least two pounds or I'm gna eat whatever I want!!!

  • Well fried-eggs if you're working out like crazy you could be building some muscle so don't look at the scale. How are your clothes fitting? There's got to be some difference. Stay with it!

    I'm still moving along. Lost a total of 10 lbs since we started last month. It's getting easier but there are some moments.

  • Froggy you are rocking the LCB biggest loser house! Fried eggs i think froggy has a great point if you are working out like crazy you most likely are building muscle tone. Has anyone noticed you lost weight?

    As for me i have been exceptionally good. I have to be honest i am surprised at how disciplined i have been and sometimes think how in the world am i keeping this up so well. I am basically averaging a pound a week. I know part of the reason is lack of exercise. The weather has been so terrible it leaves you housebound like a bear in hibernation.

    Keep up the good work we as a team will kick some major butt!

  • Really great news Froggy and Lips. Congrats on sticking to the plan. It's hard but it will pay off.

    fried-eggs, just keep pushing. It's not easy, but do not give up, you can surely do it. And Froggy is right, your body is changing so it can affect your weight.

  • Congratulations Froggy and Lips - you're doing fantastic. 

    I do believe muscle weighs more than fat so, yeah don't expect to lose weight if you ar working out.

    I hope it's muscle! An no one has really noticed anything significant, but I'm just gna stick with it and see what happens in the next weeks.

  • I haven't ben on in some time. 

    I really want to thank you all for the words of encouragement.  My mindset changed and I have been working so hard.  I do the Jillian Michaels workouts (at home watching on my computer) 2 - 3 times a day.  I also go to the club to run, ok walk briskly, hate running and also so weights at home.  I have been eating 3 low cal  meals a day with boring snacks, except for the skinny cow.. yum. feel  like cheating.

    I was wracking my brain trying to figure out WHAT had changed to make losing so hard and the gaining so abnormally easy.  The only thing I could think of was bad allergies hitting me about 1 1/2 years ago. I looked up if antihistamines made you gain weight.  Every site said YES and they can slow metabolism.
    I don't know if it's true or if it was mind over matter but.......

    I am down 23 pounds since Lips started this thread!

    Congrats to everyone losing and still trying.  Every ounce is an achievement!

  • Keep it going Gabby! I have done yoga, hot yoga too. It's pretty cool takes a lot of control and flexibility. I think it is something great to do once you've reached your goal weight. Helps with toning.

    I think that there are many drugs with side effects that include weight gaining, and most people just don't read the fine print.
    Anyway, it is important to be dedicated to the goal, but not in the way to ruin your health, but a healthy way to lose weight. Really glad you are doing so well!

  • Great news gabby! Sounds like you are working very hard and it's paying off. I'm a bit lax on the working out. I hate it and find it to be very boring. I'd rather get out and walk in the warm weather than stand on a treadmill like a robot. Maybe watching different workout videos would work for me too. I know I must get more exercise but I dread it. Again, good job gabby! I'm down 13 lbs now so maybe a little more exercise would move me along.

  • That's great Froggy - 13 lbs, almost a stone.  Congratulations and well done.

    Exercise doesn't have to be boring.  Have you thought about dancing yourself fit.  There are so many to choose from like Zumba, Salsa, Ball Room, Line Dancing and so many more....even pole dancing  woo

  • Ok seriously i need a good talking to here. Saturday night i went out to celebrate a friends b'day. We went to a Mexican restaurant. Not only did i eat nachos and guacamole as an appetizer i had Mexican Mai Tais!

    For dinner had cheese enchiladas, rice and bean and topped it off with b'day cake. Would someone please tell me what in the world is wrong with me.......sigh. 

  • Lips wish I could be that one to give ya a pep talk but I'm not doing so hot myself. Went out over the weekend and gained 5 lbs just from drinking! Totally sucks, there is just so much going on I'm having a hard time staying on track!  >:(

  • It's never easy to stay on track. There are always setbacks, but it is important to keep eating healthy and clan. Lips, that one night won't change much if you go back to your usual diet.

  • I have been horrible! I completely fell off the wagon and have been eating, drinking and kicking my heels up way too much. Come Monday i am going to jump right back on the right track.

    How is everyone else doing?

  • Lips - dont' be so hard on yourself.  You need a night out once in a while, just keep trying!

    This has been a long hard road but I finally reached my goal. 

    I had my husband hide the scale because I was becoming obsessed weighing a couple, ok 3 or 4 times a day.  I stayed off it for the last 3 weeks.

    I can totally tell I had lost quite a bit but... got on the scale today, for my *blech* 50th birthday and was at 123lbs.  I am so happy.  We are having a *&*^) blizzard so we stayed in but I am still happy. )

  • That is awesome gabby! And happy birthday to you too!! You are so far our biggest loser to hit their goal! I think it was a great idea to hide the scale. That darn thing can ruin your whole day.

    I have been a bad girl i must confess. It seems like once you go off track its hard to get back in the groove again. Your an inspiration and i can only imagine how good you must feel........sigh!

  • Thanks lips.  It was a battle.  At the beginning it some dropped fast and then it was back. 
    I was frustrated but stuck with it.  I was hungry and cranky at times but I feel sooo much better.

    Keep at it.  You are doing great.  We all have ups and downs and it is ok to cheat, even for a week, just watch what you eat the next week. smiley
