    I love the 3 Stooges,and Jerry Lewis,Laurel and Hardy,and Abbott and Costello
ok so I have a "goofy" streak, but I love to laugh and they crack me up!
Prison movies, Ida Lupino,Gene Kelly movies, I could go on and on.
Please share your old favorites too!!

  • A very famous actor.

  • Buster Crabbe

  • Isn´t this the young James Cagney?

  • Isn´t this the young James Cagney?

It is indeed.  Well done rokko.  Top of the world Ma.

    blue
  • Wow, he and Buster Crabbe look more alike than I thought, Buster Crabbe was the guy who played Flash Gordon,(ok so I'm old) This was a good find Blue, this is such a young pic of Cagney he looks different.Wtg Rokko!

  • Here is a real (class) classic one:

  • The old Flash Gordon´s were reallly cool. But I remeber more the cigarette-smoke-driven spaceships than Buster Crabbe. But if I think of it now, they look similar.

  • Speaking of fake looking props, do you remember the puppet show (but popular), Thunderbirds are go?! AND...Diver Dan? The funny lip movements of Clutch cargo and (his pals Spinner & Paddlefoot?)
Ahhh Saturday morning television was Heaven when I was a kid,Bullwinkle, Fractured fairytales,Underdog, Magilla gorilla,Fantastic four,Tennessee tuxedo,Atom ant etc etc etc

  • THERE IS NOTHING FAKE ABOUT THUNDERBIRDS!

If you think of it, the 1960s Supermarionation was something like handmade CGI-effects, brilliant then, brilliant today.

  • Here's one...

Speaking of Thunderbirds.. on one of my cable TV channels they held a Marathon of the Thunderbirds.. me and my daughter adored it.. we'd watch them over and over if we could!

Another one we seen was GIGANTOR! and Felix the Cat!

Ok now, simmer down laugh_out_loud, bad phrasing sorry, I think what seemed fakish and odd were the quirky movements, remember I was watching through the eyes of a little kid in awe of these "people" like things moving around in glamourous costumes and backgrounds, yet they were not people....mind blowing!!

Myrna Loy and super fine azz Robert Taylor!! Lucky Night

  • Here is a real (class) classic one:

Myrna Loy....she was pretty, loved her in Mr. Blandings builds his dream house, and The Batchelor and the Bobby soxer, and all the Thin man movies too.
  • Third Man is really cool. But speaking of funny hats:

  • This is one of my favorites and i have to quote her quotes.. simply an amazing woman and an outstanding actress...

“Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, it’s at the end of your arm, as you get older, remember you have another hand: The first is to help yourself, the second is to help others.”

“People, even more than things, have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed, and redeemed; never throw out anyone.”

"For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others: for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness; and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone.”

“The best thing to hold onto in life is each other.

“As a child, I was taught that it was bad manners to bring attention to yourself, and to never, ever make a spectacle of yourself... All of which I’ve earned a living doing.”

“I decided, very early on, just to accept life unconditionally; I never expected it to do anything special for me, yet I seemed to accomplish far more than I had ever hoped. Most of the time it just happened to me without my ever seeking it.”

Lets all give a complete standing ovation for this "theres not enough words in the complimentary world dictionary" to describe her.....Audrey Hepburn

  • She was a REAL lady, and I never miss Breakfast at Tiffany's....ever!

  • Love her..She is such a beautiful woman inside and out.

    :-*

  • In my opinion this is one of the most beautiful women ever.  If I could look like someone I would want to look (and sound) like her.

  • She is beautiful blue.

    :-*

  • I would want to look just like her:

    :-*

  • I would want to look just like her:

just let me be built like her, please God
