Cpl. Alexander Degenhardt, 26, has just found out he was accepted as a bone marrow donor for an anonymous patient.

“They asked me if I was sure I wanted to go through with it, because it’s kind of painful, but what’s a little pain if it will save someone’s life?” the U.S. Marine said Friday. “I look at this as kind of good karma for that.”

And like a prophecy two days later he hit a 2.9 Million dollar Jackpot at Bellagio Casino in Las Vegas. It was the second largest Jackpot to be won for Bally Technologies which manufactures the games.

He hit the $2,882,808.32 Jackpot playing Money Vault Millionaires Seven slot. The penny slot that takes bets from .40 to $2 max had been building for nearly six months. He put in a hundred dollar bill and was certain he would lose it quickly with his highest win ever of just $200.

Do you believe karma plays a big role in winning?

I do believe that doing good deeds can bring you good things. But I don't think that if I help someone I will win the lottery, nor do I help that person with that thought in mind. But this lad deserved such a life-changing win for what he has done.

That's a nice jackpot! He was definitely deserving of it and you can't put a price tag on the life he will save. I do believe in karma and even some silly things as a gambler. As much as I believe in karma I have to wonder. I mean there are people that live their lives doing kind deeds or have had a very hard life. They don't win a million dollar jackpot. Are they not deserving?

I know quite a few people, some from this forum, that would deserve even a bigger win than that. Unfortunately such things don't come by too often.
