I thought it would be nice to start a thread where if need be members can come here, let us know whats in their hearts, and ask for some advice and/or thoughts and prayers. I dont know if this has been started before or if its even ok. It sounded good to me.

Please pray for my friend, Stacy.  She was recently diagnosed with breast cancer.  She is only 48, and is a single mother to three children.  Thank you!

My parent both passed on tragically years ago. My grandmother took me in, and to this day I think of her as my mom. The last years have been hard on her, not only did she lose my father to homicide, but she lost her youngest son to a drug overdose, her only daughter has brain and bone cancer, and her 2 older brothers died last month. Will all of that, she and my Papa have been married for 30+ years, and now he is sick. He still works full time at 75 years old, he has throat cancer and has had surgery twice to remove a throat tumor.

They are both wonderful human beings. I love them more than anything in this whole wide world.

My grandmother is not doing too well lately, she never leaves the house, or her chair for that matter. She stays home looks at pictures of my father and my uncle and cries all day. I dont know what to do or say. She lives all the way in Las Vegas so I cant go see her like I used to. I call her all the time, and I feel so bad. I can only imagine the hurt and pain she is going through. I miss her dearly.  :'(

I ask you to please keep her and my papa in your thoughts and prayers and I appreciate you taking the time to read this.

This thread is a nice idea....

Sending prayers for your GrandMother and your papa, Mommy Machine. That situation sounds heartbreaking to me.

cschneck:  I will send prayers for your friend Stacy.  Another heartbreaking situation.

Please, both of you, keep us updated on these special people and their situations.

Prayer is a wonderful thing, and I believe in it.

It is hard when a loved one is Sick but I feel the hardest thing is when a child is sick! As a mother you wish it could be you instead. I understand how you feel. I have four children. two sons and two daughters, both of my daughter have an incurable illness that will soon put them in a vegetative state. I cry everyday about this but I know it is God's plan not mine, I was crying just typing about it but you must have faith it is the only thing that helps you thru it. You are all in my prayers and ask you to keep me in yours. God Bless all of you!

What a wonderful Idea! We all need prayers at one time or another! I will pray for all of you and your families. Please pray for my mom who has uterine cancer. I just do not want her to suffer but I put it in Gods hands.

MommyMachine thank you so much for your kind words, My one daughter has Huntington's and the other MS they are 33 and 35 years old one has 3 kids and one has 2 but i try not to dwell on it because there is nothing I can do but pray there is no cure not even a treatment. The Huntington's is the worst, my husband had it and his mother and it runs deep in our family, very few people even know what it is but I pray they will find at least a treatment if not a cure before it's too late for my daughter.
