Jackson Township, Ohio resident Christy Harp shows off her world-record 1,725-pound Atlantic giant pumpkin on in Jackson Township, Ohio. Harp took first place at the Ohio Valley Giant Pumpkin Growers annual weigh-off Saturday in Canfield. She won $2,500 and could claim the world title. Contest organizers say the entry topped the 1,689-pound record-holder grown in 2007 by Joe Jutras of North Scituate, R.I.

You would need a chain saw.
And what size candle would you need to put inside.
Lips, I too have squirrels than make a meal out of my pumpkins when I buy them for display. At first I didnt know what had happened to them, thought some kids were playing a bad joke. Then I saw what was going on and laughed. I love all wildlife, and was happy they found my pumpkins enjoyable for dining.

I sure could make alot of pumpkin pies with that one!!!! Wow!
I remember one year i had a pumpkin on my front porch. The squirrels had a nice treat munching on it!!! The following summer i noticed something growing next to my front porch.
I couldn't imagine what it could be. As it started to grow.....i figured out what it was. A big pumpkin!!! The squirrels dropped some of the seeds on the ground and it grew a nice big one!
I couldn't of grown a better one if i had planted it!!!

well..i have a better one for ya. when i was young and crazy, and drinken and driving was still legal, we used to use smoke pot and drink beer, and throw the emptys in my back seat. I de-seeded all my pot, and throw all the seeds back there too. It was like a toxic waste site back there, and everyone used to laugh at me, and say something is going to grow in here, you better clean it...well most of the time, there were cans piled two feet high, and the beer dripping out was pretty bad, so I guess they were right.
One day I cleaned it out, but it was still pretty wet, from most of the beer spill...
There was probably a million pot seeds germinating in the rugs too.
One hot sunny day I came out of work, and there it was, little pot plants sprouted all over thru both rugs. Funniest thing I ever saw, since everyone always said something was going to grow in there!!
Squiirels got nothing...
