  • Hello everyone,

I am just curious cuz sometimes I feel a little bit alone out here.

    1.  Do you ever deposit even when you can't afford it, thinking that you'll win and put all the money back + more?

    2.  Do you ever win when you do that?

    3.  At what dollar amount do you say "Okay, I have won and I am going to cash out?"  $300?  $500?  $1000?

Thanks in advance for those of you that answer!

  • 1. yes
    2. mostly never
    3. I seem to be always short a dollar or 2 before i meet my goal and then put it all back..lol

  • 1. In the past, yes, but not now. I make sure everything is paid for first.

    2. I recall maybe twice. Once was 5 days before Christmas and that saved my butt. cheesy

    3. It can depend upon how fast I got up and how I am feleing about leaving.

(BTW, I am referring to gambling at B&M casinos or the local bars in Oregon..Online?? I've not ever done good enough to cash out any big hits.

  • Chasing the almighty dollar!!!! I don't think there is a gambler alive that has not done that a time or two.

If it's done consistently that's where the trouble begins. I think more often than not it is not won back.

If i get thrill and makes me happy playing i try to at least break out even......but sometimes the flesh is weak!

  • Omg!!! Yes, I do that alot [well not alot, but I have done it a time or 2], I'll be flat broke and manage to come across $20 bucks, but have a $50 bill to pay and figure I can't pay it anyways might as well try to gamlbe and make what I need then cashout.....it NEVER WORKS, and when to quit is even worse for me....there are times that I have won $1200 and tell myself when it gets to $1000 I'll cashout [why I don't cashout $1000 and leave $200 to play with is beyond me] Then i'll drop below a grand then say ok...$800 and so on and so on until there is nothing left............I pretty much avoid gambling altogether now because it never pays off and the few times it does I never know when to quit......I must admit I still do play once in awhile,as in once every 2 or 3 months but only for small amounts and ONLY for fun, not to try and win something....Sadly I'm more than positive when my financial situation gets better I'll be right back at the reels.....lol.........words of a true addict!

hi amy...i always do it.  i spend waaaaaaaaaay more than i should, i do always win, and hardly ever cashout.  only about once a month, so i can still play.  i wait till i get it up into the deep thousands.  if i don't do it, then i just play it.

hahahaha...i just saw you signature...so funny!!

    Hi Satan..

I was just going to leave a thank-you, and go to bed...its way past my bed time.  But this is really why i hate these thank-yous...it makes me lazy, and I just leave a thank-you, with no response.
Just wanted to say you really nailed it.  I can't cashout for the freaken life of me...I have been thinking of hiring someone to do it for me:)
I know I play very well, and would have boatloads of money if I did cashout regularly, but it is soooooooooooo hard...i needed to take someone to the casino with me too.  I would stay there for 2-3 days, and play all my winnings sad
  • When I first started online gaming I built a bankroll to 1100 once and BLEW it....to this day I CRINGE when I think of that.

  • Makes me wonder....when is enough enough?? As I said earlier sometimes I win and instead of cashing out, i'll just keep on playing trying to win even more, but sadly end up losing everything in the process.....$1200 was just an example, but there have been about 5 or 6 times I've had between $5000 -$7000 and yes, all from a $50 or less deposit and using no bonuses and still didn't even bother to get my $50 bucks back...When I hit like that I keep telling myself $1000 more, $1000 more.....I'll get that extra grand then say it again...then I start losing and say I'll cashout when I get it back up to where I was....and if i'm losing alot then for example if I had $7000 and I'm losing big I'll say i'll cashout at $5000.......I beat myself up for it everytime!! I have no idea why at times when there is $7000 in my account WHY...WHY...WHY...don't I just cashout $5000 and play with $2000.[even though that is what I tell myself i'm gonna do, then don't!].....$2000 is PLENTY to play with, but I never think about that until it's all gone and I'm left with the sting that...OH SHIT...I JUST THREW AWAY ALOT OF MONEY FOR NO REASON!    laugh_out_loud...what's even worse is when I have that large balance, before I even think about hitting the cashout button, I'm steadly spending that money in my head....$100, pay off that, buy this, buy that and as the balance decreases I knock stuff off the list of things I WAS gonna do with the money!!!

LOL...sorry, I know this is not funny but I felt like I was reading my story...;) My highest was $11.248 that I blew away. I had my whole house redecorated with it and slowly reduced everything, almost 20 hours later non-stop, I got my CC out again, trying to get it back with an other 50 after I used all the loyalty points..lol. It was fun playing max on every slot though..lol
  • few times i won about 400 or 500  but never cashed out
i did it like satansmuff  i always hope to win more and i know it doesnt happend , but i cannot stop.
im really crazy lol  ( but not alone )

  • Sounds like most of us have the same 'problem', Amy!  I too have spent more than I should have (at both land/online casinos) and always seem to tell myself that I will cashout when I get to "whatever dollar figure".  When I have reached that number, I then try for an even higher number, most often, unsuccessfully.  What really got me 'hooked' on the whole gambling thing was a really big win several years ago, my first ever time playing online and back when us USA folks could still play at Micrograming sites.  I hit 5 wilds on a slot that payed me $2200 (which I quickly cashed out) and from then on....I've been chasing that non-attainable-unrealistic dream!  When I do get that big win...which is such an adrenaline rush for me...it just makes me want to go for more.  Guess it's kinda like a drug, huh?

Thanks for the post, I think!  Made me own up to my sorry-butt excuses for spending way more money than I should on gambling  embarrassed

  • Maybe it's the concept of hitting something big for nothing....when I used to play poker I always cashed out when I said I would, but with poker I had to WORK for my winnings and it wasn't always so fun, but either way it's still gamlbing...I wonder why poker was never hard to cashout, but slots are........? At least for  me..

  • It's been a long time since I won into the thousands, but i got hooked by a $2500 win on Cleopatra's Pyramid at one of the vegas tech casinos.  I have never won into the thousands on any other software (except on free chips, which I don't really count since it's not real money).

In fact it's been a long time since I won over $500, but I am right there with you all as far as saying "i will cash out when I get down to ____."  And then hating myself when it's all gone and I could have spent that money to pay bills and buy things I really need.

    Ugh.

I hope to win big one more time (one thousand or more) and then stop for good.  Hahaha!!!  yeah right!!
