Recalling Firsts

So I thought it might be fun to recall firsts. This can be your first anything from your first time on a plane to your first kiss. Share whatever you like. 

My first kiss was horrible. I was 14 and he nearly swallowed my entire face. I had teeth marks in my chin. I was a bit scared off and couldn't understand why anyone would want to do that.

My first time on a plane was a 12 hour flight to Italy and 14 hours back. I was miserable to say the least. The flight was packed, it was hot and I never slept a wink. The way back was slightly better because a seat was open next to me giving some more room. The seats were uncomfortable and was like pulling teeth to get something to drink. I got smart and brought my own drinks on the way home.

My first kiss was at the back of a field when i was 13 and i will say i didn't really enjoy kissing a girl - hahaha (end of that conversation)

And i never been on a plane.

And the first time i smoked was when i was 11 again at the back of a field - maybe i spent too much time at the back of a field hahahaha. (and now not a smoker for 9 months)

And the first time i gambled on a actual slot machine was about 10 in blackpool, our family used to goto blackpool about every month or so - but the first time i actually got to play a slot machine was 10

and they hooked me ever since

My first proper ciggy was when I was 15 - what's annoying is the girl that gave it to me never smoked after that.

My first time on a plane was a nightmare, 14-hour flight to Seoul, Korea. I felt it would never end, couldn't sleep, couldn't move too much either as the plane (a huge one) was packed with people.

I don't really remember my fist time on a plane (I was like 3-4 years old), but I like to fly, so no problems there. However, I will remember my son's first flight (well, actually, the second), it was a trip from Amsterdam, and he was screaming the whole time (he was about 12 months old)... And there was this guy, looking at me with a sympathy, saying: Don't worry, it's perfectly fine, I've got two of them, I know exactly how you feel

The first kiss? Well, it was on the bus station, sooo fast, I wasn't even sure that that it was real I was about 14-15...

How about my first time shooting a gun?  First and last time.

I was living in Beijing, China, where my husband was working for Ericsson.  He took me to a shooting range close to the Great Wall and we got to shoot all manner of guns at innocent water melons in a field.  I was utterly unprepared for the recoil and didn't like the experience at all!

My first time shooting a gun was one I won't forget. It was the tiniest little thing that I shot in a field in Arkansas. It was very spur of the moment and kinda fun. Shot at some old can laying next to a creek.

I held my grandfather's gun only once, when I was 10. I just said "Take it back! Take it back!" I don't like guns and I've never gotten close to one ever again.

I think my first cigarette was a gradually process. I took a puff here and there and worked up to inhaling the entire thing. I was like 14 and forced myself to get used to it. How dumb was I!

Another forced first was diet pop. OMG I hated it but yet again it was less sugar blah blah blah. Wish I had a picture of my face sipping that first diet pepsi.

I remember my first time to Vegas, well at least the moments I was sober! I sent my 21st there and it was a blast! It was amazing weekend the sun was shining, drinks were flowing and the roulette table was my playground.

My first kiss was from a dare, I kinda bullied into it. At the time I was 14 and everyone had at least kissed on the lips but me. So I my girlfriends dared me to kiss a boy who had a crush on me. So I didn't even have an amazing movie like first kiss  :'(

First kiss is overrated, I think the second and third should count too

My earliest most petrifying experience i ever had to do for the first time was diving! I was always a fairly good swimmer but didn't know how to dive. I had swim class when i was in 4th grade. And i can remember the only way to pass the class with a decent grade was to dive.

Everyone had done it and i was the very last one left. I stood at the side of the deep end of the pool and all my classmates were rallying me on saying "you can do it, you can do it"! The swim coach kept coming back to me asking if was ready yet and i was sooooooooooo afraid i said: " just a little bit longer". Finally the class was over and everyone was walking out into the lockers and i knew it was now or never. I took the giant leap and dived into the water. The coach had already left the pool area and one of the kids went to tell him i did it. He said well it's too late and wouldn't come back and watch me dive again

Well, I guess he wasn't a very supportive coach. I hope that the whole ordeal didn't scare you afterwards, and that you continued to dive.

Wow lips that's kinda mean. You were like what, 11? That coach shouldn't have been working with kids if he had no patience.

Awe Lips, what a jerk! The fact is you faced your fears and did it!

I think it is even more important since you overcame your fear without any help from others. Good work

He's mean and irresponsible. Hmm, how could he leave kids behind at the pool unwatched?
