Scientists have found the toughest material made by life yet — the silk of a spider whose giant webs span rivers, streams and even lakes.
Spider silks were already the toughest known biomaterials, able to absorb massive amounts of energy before breaking. However, researchers have now revealed the Darwin's bark spider (Caerostris darwini) has the toughest silk ever seen — more than twice as tough as any previously described silk, and more than 10 times stronger than Kevlar.
        Nature can be so unusual.

nan, that is so cool.  I believe that, in nature, there is a plant, herb, tree, or animal that can cure or heal all our diseases.  Native people knew these things, as did many "witches" who were killed.  Here is something interesting about nutmeg, one of my favorite spices.
        Weird Fact: Nutmeg is poisonous

Nutmeg is a hallucinigenic drug which is regularly used to flavor such lovely things as custard tarts and fruit cakes. It is also a poison which will kill you while you suffer a variety of extremely revolting (and one or two not-so-revolting) side-effects on the way. Ingesting 2 grams of nutmeg will give you similar feelings to having taken amphetamines (the not-so-revolting side-effect) but will also cause nausea, fever, and headaches. Ingesting 7.5 grams will cause convulsions, and eating 10 grams will cause hallucinations. Eating a whole nutmeg can lead to “nutmeg psychosis” which includes feelings of impending doom, confusion, and agitation. There have been two recorded cases of death by nutmeg (one in 1908 and one in 2001).

A true work of art Nan and when there are small rain droplets on them, they look even more beautiful.

wmmeden  - "death by nutmeg" - I had no idea it was so potent.  Thanks for the info.

No sooner than this post was created, someone patented a formula for bullet-proof clothes with the silk of this spider being the primary compound.
Perhaps, I should patent instead of post next time

Yeah, you should've been creating a bullet proof body suit instead of posting about this nan.
