Hiya Guys and Dolls,
With Halloween around the corner i thought it might be fun post some spooky urban legends......
Chanting "Bloody Mary!" thirteen times in front of a candlelit mirror in an otherwise dark room will summon her vengeful spirit.
The Story: Go into a room with a mirror and turn all the lights off. Bathrooms seem to be perfect for this since they almost always have a mirror and are usually dark at night with the lights off and the door closed. Light a candle, look into the mirror, start chanting "Bloody Mary" . You have to do this 13 times, of course. You should see Bloody Mary behind your left shoulder after the thirteenth time.
Person Trapped In Cemetery Overnight Dies
A person makes a bet with their friends that they can spend the night in a cemetery and are is found dead in the morning in the arms of a graveyard statue.
A person makes a bet with a group of friends that he or she (more often it's a she) can spend the night in the cemetery. The person is found dead in the morning, laying across the arms of a large statue, usually of an angel with it's arms out-stretched. This legend also included a statue of an old woman seated with her arms out stretched, a woman standing with her arms out-stretched. Variations on this are: as an initiation into a gang, a fraternity or sorority or into a high school clique. The dead person is found dead with no sign of injury or has also been found to be sitting on the lap of the seated statue with crushed ribs, presumably by the arms of the statue. But the end result is always the same, the person is dead in the arms of the statue.
Person Trapped In Crypt Turns White Haired Overnight
Urban Legend: A person makes a bet with their friends that they can spend the night in a cemetery crypt and is found in the morning insane with snow white hair.
A person is dared to spend the night in a crypt in a local cemetery and is found in the morning totally insane and their hair has turned snow white. This one can vary from biker club initiation, fraternity or sorority initiation or a dare between a group of kids. It takes place usually in an gated above ground crypt. The person is locked in with the dead and left over night. No one knows what actually happens to said person because they never speak again, their hair turns snow white and they go insane.
Cast Deaths From The Poltergeist Films
The Spielberg film "Poltergeist" was cursed with the deaths of cast members. This isn't really an Urban Legend but it is interesting since it's true. The film "The Exorcist" was also plagued with problems but that's another story.
An unusual amount of deaths have occurred around the three "Poltergeist" films, including three of the stars. These incidence have given way to rumors that the films were cursed because of their content. This seems a little silly, there are always explanations to "curses" like this. Or are there??
Two of the stars from the first film have died at young ages, two from the second film at not so young ages.
22-year old Dominique Dunne, who played older daughter Dana Freeling, died on November 4th,1982, at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California. She had been choked into a coma by her boyfriend.
12-year-old Heather O'Rourke died of septic shock on February 1st., 1988, at the Children's Hospital in San Diego, California. What was thought to be the flu turned out to be a bowel obstruction which caused toxins to enter her system. She died at Children's Hospital while undergoing surgery to remove the obstruction.
60-year-old Julian Beck, who played the evil preacher Kane in the second film, died of stomach cancer on September 14th,1985, at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, NY. Like Heather O'Rourke, he died during the period between filming and release, but in his case the film in question was Poltergeist II, which was released in May 1986. O'Rourke died before the release of Poltergeist III.
53-year-old Will Sampson, who played Taylor in the second film, died on June 3rd., 1987, in a Houston, Texas hospital after receiving a heart-lung transplant 6 weeks earlier. The cause of his death was attributed to severe pre-operative malnutrition and post-operative kidney failure along with a fungal infection.

- I member being scared to death of Blood Mary when i was a kid... I dont remember it as a game, rather as a spooky story ( though now I cant recall the exact story ).... I believe I was 8 or 9, and we went on school excursion. We were at this hotel, in our rooms telling scary stories.
And I remember someone telling the story about Bloody Mary. Later that night I couldnt sleep at all as I was lying next to the window and kept seeing her image on the window glass.
Later I've beat the c**p out of the guy who told the story

Y'all know about the ghost tracks out here in San Antonio near Stinson Field? Legend has it that a schoolbus full of kids was hit by a train there many years ago, killing many students. If you pull onto the tracks, put your car in neutral, and just sit there, your car stopped, well, the legend is the dead kids will slowly push your car over the tracks and out of danger.

It's a popular spot, and your car really does go from a dead stop, up over the tracks, and out of danger. Some people have put talcum powder on the back bumper and found little fingerprints in the powder once they are over the tracks. It's spooky-I've been there and been pushed over the tracks!
Well, there's a physical reason your car does that, even though it appears and feels you are going over a bump where the tracks are.
But then there are the Marfa lights, which I experienced many times. These are for real. Many scientific studies (universities, air force, etc...) have been unable to account for the Marfa lights. They've been seen since the 1800's. You will not be disappointed taking a road trip to Marfa for the Marfa lights! Need directions to either of these?
We have the local legend of the Italian Bride.......

Besides being the burial place of Al Capone and a number of other of Chicago's greatest gangsters, this cemetery is also the final resting place of Julia Buccola Petta. She has also become known over the years as the "Italian Bride" and she has also become famous because of the fact that over the course of six years...her body never decayed!
Julia died in childbirth in 1921, at only 20 years of age. Shortly after her burial, her mother Filomena began having very strange dreams in which Julia told her that she was still alive and needed her help. The dreams continued for over six years, during which time Filomena tried without success to have her daughter's grave opened. Finally, she was able to get permission to have her exhumed and when the casket was opened up, Julia's body was found to have not decayed at all.
This photo is mounted on the gravestone of Julia Petta and shows the "incorruptible" state of her body after she was exhumed. No explanation has ever been found as to why this occurred.
Julia Petta's grave monument shows the life-size figure of her in a wedding dress, a portrait of this is also mounted on the grave stone. There is also another photo here....that of Julia's body after her grave was opened. If you look closely at the photo (posted below), you will see that the coffin is muddy and in poor condition, although the woman herself appears to only be sleeping.
It is not surprising that reports have circulated over the years that claim a woman in white has been seen in the vicinity of Julia's grave. Late-night travelers on the nearby street say that this women appears to wander across the cemetery and that she seems to be wearing a glowing bridal gown.
