Urban Legend....or truth?

This is not quite an urban legend, more of a old Wives tale but how about the one where if you break a mirror you'll have seven years bad luck. :-\

To be safe, you shoud bury the pieces of your mirror under the cover of moonlight.

      Turn around 3 times in a circle in a counter-clockwise direction as soon as you break the mirror. This will confuse the bad-luck spirits.Toss a pinch of salt over your left shoulder.
      If the mirror is a small one, you should hold it under running water in your sink or shower. You may also toss it into a stream or river, as any type of running water is said to wash away all kinds of bad luck.
        Last but not least: Take one shard of the broken mirror to a cemetery. Hold the shard against a gravestone so the bad luck will pass on to someone who is already dead and therefore won't be bothered by it.

        I have broken mirrors on my time, and I never buried my pieces under the cover of moonlight,or any other of these steps,  Perhaps that explains my lack of luck at Slots.

OMG...NOTHING freaks me more than a spider...I was watching a movie the other day with my brother, and the wind blew something on me and tickled me..I thought it was a bug...I jumped 50 feet off my chair, and ran across the room.  My brother was like what the hell is your problem??  I felt silly telling him I thought it was a spider, but I was soooooooooo freaked, it wasn't even funny...he made so much fun of me..damn bugs...well, I am getting even with you Lips...here's one for you..

According to the soldiers relatives; the bite must have happened while he was sleeping. He wasn't even aware that he had been bitten. He woke up to a large lump on his arm. Then while out on maneuvers, the cyst-like area ruptured open. He was then sent on to the MASH Unit in Kuwait. They dug everything out (puss & ??) then packed it with gauze, put him on a strong round of antibiotics with instructions to re-pack the site several times a day. The area was too large for them to stitch shut. They claimed that it would cause an air pocket under the skin. So it had to be allowed to heal from the inside - out! It seems to have healed pretty well, leaving a small scar about the size of a penny.

Most people don't know that the camel spider can also be found in the southwest U.S. and Mexico. While the recent buzz is all about the Middle Eastern camel spider, its North American cousin has no shortage of tall tales. In Mexico, they're known as matevenados, which means "deer killers."

Yeah, now I'm not a fan of Tarantulas, but the tiny black and white hopper spiders are ok with me They run away instead of me

No urban legends I'm aware of for me...

gross, huh??  i saved that for a couple years..some friend of mine who knows how much i "love" spiders...did that to me one day, i almost sh*t my pants!

you just made me go on the camel spider web site, and i just got sick to my stomach.

things i do for you...   i suggest you go check this site yourself..they even have some videos where they fight to the death, and they eat a lizard...i already felt sick this morning, this pushed me over the edge, for sure!
