    Notorious serial killer Ted Bundy confessed to more than 30 murders before he was sent to Florida's electric chair in 1989, but experts have always believed there were more.

    Now, investigators across the country are hoping a vial of Bundy's blood -- kept as part of a case record -- will prove or disprove his involvement in cold cases dating as far back as 1961.

    Bundy's blood, recovered from an evidence lab in Columbia County, Florida, will be entered into the FBI's Combined DNA Index System (CODIS) on Friday. Investigators say it's a major milestone in a decades-long search for evidence to complete the killer's profile.

    Hopefully, this will put many family members lives to rest once and for all.

    I'm sure he had a few more than 30 victims, I don't understand why he was so "modest" in the confession because he was going to get the chair anyway.

    I think that part of that "modesty" Johnny on his part is the twisted mind that thinks i got something over on you. The thrill of getting away with it.

    Amazing Nan what DNA can do for us now a days. Bundy was always a fearful serial killer to me in more ways then one. He was a good looking guy for one and had the charisma to pull in so many innocent women.

    When there are no clues are red flags to alert you it's very scary. But some of the most notorious serial killers of our time were pillars in the community. Look at John Wayne Gacy the clown at children's birthday parties.

    Why even his wife was clueless as bodies were decaying in walls and floorboards.

    I think this is a great example of how new technology can solve so many cold cases.
    I can only imagine how many cases were put away unsolved because of not enough evidences.
    I hope it can be further improved to help out.
