Brianna Priddy went out with a group of friends when she realized her wallet with her ID and all her credits cards were stolen. Her bank told her that checks in her name were being cashed and she had become a victim of identity theft. The process to clear her name was going to be a long and difficult to reverse, the bank told her.
Brianna, a waitress at an Applebee’s restaurant in Lakewood, Colo.waited on a group of people two weeks later and asked for ID's after they ordered drinks. Lo and behold one of the woman in the group handed over the waitress' drivers license completely unaware it was hers!
The waitress tried to remain calm until she was able to call the police and wait for them to arrive.
“I put on my server smile and tried to take care of them, but I was shaking like crazy,” she said.
When the police showed up they arrested the unidentified woman on suspicion of theft, identity theft and criminal impersonation. They also found the woman to be in possession of narcotics.
“Dumb criminal,” Lakewood police spokesman Steve Davis told KUSA-TV. “That’s the first thing that comes to mind.”
Whats more crazy is the woman was 26 years old and of legal age and could of showed her own ID!
