  • Anyone have any weird or odd habits?

    I have weird baking/cooking habits.

    Example of tonight.

I made a hodge podge, mish mosh, nothing goes together array of foods.

Potato salad, brownies, deviled eggs, rice krispy bars, cold pasta with veggies, homemade salsa,
strawberry and raspberry trifle, bacon (a pound), caramel rolls and orange rolls.  The last are for one of my kids and a friend he has sleeping over.  They wanted pancakes but I ran out of eggs.
Made a marinade and marinating chicken overnight.

None of the above have any rhyme or reason.  I have been in the kitchen for....oh...5 hours.  surprise

  • Ok, for some reason I have to sleep on one of my hands. Not sure why. Maybe I'm afraid I will strangle myself in my sleep.  I would have loved that dinner.  All of it sounds delicious if not oddly paired. laugh_out_loud

  • I sleep with one pillow between my knees and one over my head. If i do not have my pillows set up right it makes it impossible to sleep  dizzy

  • Aha Rena thats really crazy, I will often fold the duvet between my legs especially when its warm and I don't want it over me rather than use a pillow, but I always have one just over my eyes so its as dark as possible .. people have said to me many times aren't I worried I will suffocate... and I guess it does worry me a tad but I've done it for a long time without issue and I've got so used to the darkness I find it hard to sleep otherwise now.

And there was me thinking I was "unique" ... smiley

  • Placing a pillow or something between knees is actually very healthy; it keeps your hips in the correct position. smiley

  • I do the same...the pillow by my knees and I need it as dark as possible too!!! I sleep my my eyes open tho,so I think that might be why I need it to be dark!!! I ALWAYS need to keep a eye on things!!! laugh_out_loud laugh_out_loud

  • My worst habit is that I always have to watch TV before falling asleep, I'm having trouble getting to sleep without the TV running in the background.

  • Now that I think about it, I have to watch TV while I'm eating. I can't remember when was the last time I ate without the TV or my laptop.

  • I can not remember about me.. but my hubby... it's a joke, almost every night asleep in a chair at the computer or on sofas at the tv: D

  • I have noticed recently that I sleep MUCH better if I make sure to set the computer/tv/whatever to stop playing at the end of the current show, rather than it continuing in the background after I fall asleep. Perhaps this is obvious to some but I have been having something running long after I fall asleep for a long time and just accepted the fact i would wake up almost every hour or so throughout the night. Actually sounds a little ridiculous now I am writing it down here ... but the point is, ensuring the background noise will stop has enabled me to sleep for far longer periods at a time smiley

  • I can sleep very long with my nose down to the pillow. Everyone is like "woow, arent you in pain when you wake up in the morning?", but really, I don't feel pain at all. It normal to me.

So what, you sleep literally face down on the pillow? Yes that does sound a little bit strange, I can't imagine it being comfortable! But it definitely does not surprise me - we're a strange bunch as humans and what feels "right" to one of us feels entirely wrong to many others... just the way it is smiley

  • I need the tv on majority of the time, especially when I'm home alone. It's not necessarily that I'm watching tv it's more for the background noise. (

Yeah, I do that too, TV is on most of the time, mostly on news channels.
  • I hum when I eat. I didn't realize this until my girlfriend pointed this out many years ago.  whistle whistle tongue In fact I still don't notice it when I'm doing it. It's like breathing you just do it! cheesy

  • Something like OCD but when I make the bed, the tag of the sheets need to be at the end where my feet would lay.  Same thing goes for the blanket.  Tags need to be on the bottom end and right way out.

I always have the toilet paper roll with the sheets not facing the wall.  Must have the roll -- roll over and not under.  If I use the restroom at a family or friends house and the toilet paper roll is not to my liking, I fix it so it is facing the way I like.  This doesn't apply to public restroom though thank goodness! lol.

When I sneeze, I tend to sneeze at least twice.  Never only one sneeze.
