  • Hiya Guys and Dolls,

We all got in trouble when we were kids. Some got in more trouble than others!! I was called a "bad egg" more than once!!! I have so many stories of acting up!!!

One day i came home from school with yet another bad grade on a test. I was already warned by my parents that if i ever bring home a bad grade again i will be grounded for a month!!

Scared to death to walk in with this this paper for them to sign i started to practice their handwriting. It just was not working out. I needed another plan. Sitting in my room my wheels i turning fast.......when it hits me!!!!

I go into the living room where my dad is....(mom is in the kitchen cooking) i knew if i was gonna pull this off it had to be dad for this brain storm idea. Mom was way to clever!!! "Dad, we are having a handwriting contest at school, best signature from our parents will win"! He asks me........"what will you win"? Not thinking about that part i need to think of an answer quick!!! Oh, a day with no homework to the winner, i say!!!

I have the test paper just perfectly folded.......where he can't see whats on it. I hand him the paper with the sweat forming on my brow. He takes the pen and the paper....all the while i'm praying......."dear God, don't let him unfold this paper"!!

Phewwww, he didnt!!! It worked like a charm. The next day i come home from school dad ask's me......who one the contest? "Ummm they didn't announce it yet"! I slip away to my room hoping he don't mention it in front of mom.

The following day..........."who won the contest"? Oh you did dad, i say with excitement!! In the next room my mom hears the conversation......"what contest"?

Dad goes on to explain the contest. Mom gives me a tin eye......."that's a strange contest'! I start to babble on and on how he won. All the while i'm shaking like a leaf inside. She never said another word about it that night.

Many times later throughout the school year she would say to me...."contest huh"? That was a RARE day in history that she left me off the hook on that one!!!!

What have you got in trouble for .........or gotten away with when you were a kid?

  • Great Story Lips.....I always enjoy reading your adventures....

As for me, one time during my high school  years I found a Driverse License. Can you believe the girl on the ID looked like me?  It was a bonafide "Fake ID."  Even now as I write about it I cant believe I used this thing to purchase alcohol, but that is exactly what I did.

So I go to the store, my knees shaking with every step as I go to the beer cooler. I try to act non chalant about what I pick out. Like I have done it a hundred times before. I stroll up to the counter to pay.

"ID PLease?"  Damn, I knew he would want it. I pull it out of my purse , and I PRAY that as I hand it over he does not see my hands shaking.

These were some intense and long moments. He looked at me, back to the ID, back to me, back to the ID.  I swear I was about to pee down my leg from frieght, or just bail completely and run like hell.  FINALLY, he hands it back and bags up my 6 pack.

I pay him, and profusely thank him, way to much, HAHA, as I try to get out of that place as fast as I can without running.  I had about three friends waiting in the car around the corner of the store.

I did it, and I got away with it, but I never used it after that day.  I was just to scared to try again.  If my parents would of found out I would of been sentenced to a near death experience, no doubt.  I just couldnt bring myself to do it again.

By the way, I obviously came home a little tipsy that night, and got away with that too.  I came in the door and went straight to my room.  My parents were in bed already, and I had to be quiet as a mouse, or they would get up again and then I'd be busted for sure.  laugh_out_loud. Ever try to be quiet as a mouse when the room is spinning?

What a memory. Makes me feel good to think back to when I was a kid, and Some of the fun I had, even though it was a really ruff time growing up with some stricked parents.

  • Incrediably good thinking there Lips, not many would have thought of that!

Had a time I met some older people (I was 15) and so one day I had enough for a bottle of beer (Hard liquor came later) so we went to the store. Well I got seperated and thus had to hit the cashier by myself.

Well, I was (Like I said) 15 BUT I had porkchop sideburns which had really grown out and I was about 5' 9" then too as such, the cashier (MANAGER) was standing there saying "Is that all Sir?"

I just nodded and he rang it up and I walked out stunned by this. I hit that store for about a year and then quit drinking till I was 21.

Vandalism, ouch got caught for that. Only time I ever spoke to an "Arresting Officer)
Shoplifting (Usual crap) but once scored a $38 watch.

I gave it all up. Not nerve racking, just had my conscience cussing me out grin

  • Love the booze stories guys!!!

How about taking your parents car before you even had a license? I took my parents car when i was 15. I had NEVER been behind a wheel before. I thought this is a piece of cake. Wow, i was all over the road......but did it stop me.....nope.

Where did i need to go so bad to steal the car for the night..........check up on a boyfriend........he  he he!!!!

  • I once took cement spackle that my father had just got through finishing a wall and painted. He left the cement bucket out and i wanted to be like daddy and decided to fix the wall. I was only around 5 at the time. I ruined the wall! He had to sand and paint all over again. I a got a spanking on my bottom for that one.

  • I got in trouble for going to town when I was 5 years old with a bunch of older children. My parents went nuts looking for me.

  • Caught with a Playboy mag.......You can imagine the rest!

Never had to "Borrow" the car, but did what we called "Night Riding"

It was 1975, Mom had come into a bundle of cash and so, she hauled us down to the local Honda shop. She buys a "Honda CB 100. Now this one was for riding in our backyard.

When the guys delivered it, turns out the original had been wrecked as they were going to load it. So, the salesman gives her this Honda SL 100. This was loaded with the lights and stuff for STREET riding.

Needless to say, it took my and older sister 4 months and 2 burned clutches to ride it right. But I was the only one who dared take it out at night. Not bad and I am glad to say I never had a close call with animals.

Now as to cops, I saw them and would slip through areas they couldn't follow. That bike lasted 3 years and finally died. Those were some fun times. grin
  • Ahhhh gene your sister reminds me of me. I til this day can't drive a car with the clutch. I had a boyfriend who tried to teach me stick shift. He said your going to learn if it kills me!!

Needless to say there must of been a piece of him who died.......cuz he threw his hands up and said forget it you just wrecked my clutch.... huh

Lol...isn't that the ONLY reason teenage girls steal cars...to check up on their boyfriends,  or meet up with one!!!

  • LMAOooooo you guys are funny and so darn cute.
Well, let me see-(thinking hard), nope, none for me...'cause I was just a perfect kid... >:(just kidding. I was really a smarty pant when I was a kid and got into few minor mischief but there was one time I got myself  into a big, serious crime of my life. I think I was 12 or 13 and I was so crazy in love with books well, to be honest, I was obsessed...one winter freezing day I went to the biggest book store ever opened at the time in the city I was living in, I was wearing fat jacket, went in the store, looking at all kinds of books...then I started to thinking real hard to steal all the books. In my mind, I had a perfect chance with store being crowded by so many people and I believed no one was looking at me(I thought) so I started to put the books inside my jacket and there I was, thinking how cleaver I was...I don't remember exactly how many books but it was at the point I could barely walked. I was almost at the exit door when three guys stopped me and told me to follow them to the basement... huh Long story short, they demanded me to pay for all the books that I tried to steal and I told them I only have enough money to pay for only one. They threaten me to call my parent and school, I was crying like my life was ended and begged them to forgive me. Fortunately, my dorky/innocent looks helped me that they decided not to call my school and parent instead they made this board and wrote with red ink saying" I am a book thief, I am ashamed" told me to go outside door and kneel and hold the sign for three hours...I remember, there I was, kneeling on the cold concrete with the sign saying that I was a thief in the cold winter evening when everyone was walking by laughed at me...I thought of life and death, thought about my humiliation but after three hours later, I finally learned something so valuable that has changed my life...I still have the same obsession about books and buy even in the hungry days but I have never ever again even try to steal things from anyone or any places...long time later I told my daughter what happened and why she needs to be honest and sincere person and then you, my LCB friends...be cool!!! tongue

  • Well it started at 13 when I took a car and accidentally crashed/totaled it. shocked Then everything pretty much went downhill for the next 21 years except for a 3 year 2 month *good streak* from 17-20.

Everyone matures at their own rate.... I never matured till I was 32!  sad

  • I got few ( well more than few) of these stories.. one of them was back in my final year of high school... Actually was the last day of the school, and the tradition here in Serbia is to celebrate it in the school courtyard... basically, seniors skip all classes on that last day and party in front of the school. We would bring a tons of alcohol, and get drunk in front of the professors and they couldn't do a thing about it as it was the last day...

So here was I , standing on the window of one of the class rooms, pretty tipsy.. and for some reason i thought it would be a great idea to break a window with my fist...when my friend, who was standing next to me , saw what i did he decided to do the same... well he ended up cutting his hand.. and let me tell you it wasn't a pretty sight..hehe

well we did get away with it...just dont ask me how wink

Moral of the story, dont try to beak the window glass with your fist , if you dont know how to do it ! tongue

  • Hi Zuga,

I think the last day of school is a Universal holiday for seniors to get tipsy!!! Although we did not do it in front of the school, we did on prom night! Prom night is the night that where all things are possible! Promises to boyfriends to...um er em....well ya know, to getting completely wasted!

There was no.....um er em on my prom night.....but i did wonder why i was seeing things in triplicate!!!

I am not suprised you didn't get a scratch on your hand.......they don't call you "Almighty" for nothing!!!

  • Well, i have one.. but mine worked so good, i had to tell on myself.. sad

I had ditched school a few times, i had my moms signature downpacked, got away with it every time.. ditched 3 days in a row.. gave the note was back to class, worked like a charm, now i got stupid.. i ditched 3 weeks straight, went to take the note, they accepted the note fine but now they wanted a meeting with my mom, i can't be my mom, so i had to go home and tell her what i had been doing to get back in school... sad
I remember my mom saying how could you do this.. and out of the few words i got from her was.. "and i've been giving you lunch money everyday".. that made me feel so bad sad  But what she did was not tell them all the notes were not hers, we were both afraid they would suspend me, so she stuck up for me at school but at home.. i got grounded for a month, and had to wash dishes 5 days a week sad

  • nan...this is soooooooooooooo funny.  i laughed till my eyes watered.
really felt bad for you holding that sign.  i could feel the humiliation.
    not funny...but sooooooooooo funny.

i have so many stories, i wouldn't know how to pick one.  my peeps at work are trying to convince me to write a book.  i have always thought i should.

  • Mine is a lot like Viv's!

My Senior year in high school was a breeze, straight A's and hardly ever went to class.  I always wrote my own notes even if I really was sick, I would trash my moms note and rewrite it, the school never gave it a second look.

Then one day I got "smart" and called myself in sick during lunch.  BAD idea!!!  The school for some reason called the house to see how many days I was going to be out and mom was home!!  She told me nothing about it.

The next morning I get called out of 1st period and who is waiting for me in the principals office, MY MOM!  With the STACK of notes!  I almost passed out.  Needles to say I had in-school suspension for a week.  What was even worse than that, my mom drove me and picked me up from school for the next MONTH!  How embarrassing that was.

  • Gosh, I went 2 a Catholic high school, & anybody who thinks Catholic school kids r 'good' has another thing comin'!! smiley
Of the stories I CAN tell....... this 1 is STILL brought up @ every family function, & it happened well over 25yrs. ago.....
Junior year of high school.... my best friend & I were co-captains of the colorguard squad... we thought we were COOOOOLLLL & could get away w/ anything. Welllllllllll........... like a couple of idiots, we used 2 take cherry vodka on our band bus trips...... we were on our way 2 the state championship competition & had drunk quite a lot by the time we arrived.  Back in those days, we had a girls bus & a boys bus.... all of us girls were crowded on the bus, horsing around, getting dressed.  Well, about 6 of us were crowded around the driver's mirror that hangs in front of the bus 2 allow him/her 2 see what's going on in the back of the bus.  Anyway, we were crowded around, all trying 2 put on makeup, hairspray, the works.... next thing we know, the bus starts ROLLING DOWN THE HILL.  It happened so quickly, but somehow in slow-motion at the same time..... we all just froze, & looked @ 1 another w/ sheer terror in our eyes.  Naturally, my best friend & I worried that since we were drunk, we may have been responsible 4 the near-disaster.  All of sudden, 1 of the band parents that was standing outside STORMED on2 the bus, took helm in the driver's seat, & put the emergency brake on. It had SOMEHOW gotten released..... thank GOD a real tragedy was averted.....
we never did know what really happened.....but we did go on 2 place 1st in the state.

My best friend & I didn't get busted.... but it sure convinced us that maybe it wasn't such a good idea 2 b drinkin'..........;)

  • WOW!!!!!

Tinmanfan you guys got lucky there.  Thanks goodness for the quick thinking parent!
