        Hiya Guys and Dolls,

I have not had a hot dog since i was about ten years old after seeing a show of what is in them  amp;. I just heard on the radio this morn a report released by the Information Act when a reporter requested to know what things were reported to be inside the hot dog.

After you hear what has been found in hot dogs you may not want to ever eat them again  amp;!

Here are some of the things that were found:

        plastic
        bones
        band-aids
        glass
        mice
        worms
        slugs
        insects
        soda pop can tops

Some objects in hot dogs were unidentifiable, so much so that scientist couldn't even decipher it!

Will it change your mind about the wieners you eat now?

Yuk.  Sounds disgusting.  I don't eat hot dogs on a regular basis and I'll definitely not be eating them again!

How on earth do these foods pass health and safety or whatever it is they have to pass to be able to be sold?

That's a good question blue. I think the inspection goes on appearance more then anything. I would assume the ingredients are inspected before being processed? And somewhere along the way this yuck -a - puck gets finds it's way in?

Makes you wonder if of this is deliberate by the employees. I mean how does a band-aid get in a hot dog!

And this is coming from the largest hot dog company in the US - Oscar Mayer.

        Yuck

Band-aids is what really grossed me out.

I haven't had a hot dog since I was a kid.  The site and smell is disgusting.  My kids love em'....those and fake chicken nuggets.

I too swore off hot dogs back when I was 14. That went for bologna, canned meats, sausage, any kind of meat that was ground up.
That meant McDonalds too. The thought of putting something in my mouth, not knowing what parts of the animal are in it, makes me cringe.
Family and friends think I'm looney. They are always trying to get me to try this n that. I already KNOW what this n that tastes like, even if it's been decades since I've had it.
        Gotta love bacon tho!!!

I agree with you re. the employess prob doing it on purpose.

Angry employees near food is never a good thing.  I've heard some really disgusting stories too.

But, I don't think it happens as often as you might think. I worked in a food plant for 10 years and never even thought about doing something like that. Nor did any of my co workers. If they did, I never witnessed it or heard them even hint of doing something so disgusting.
I know, once is too much but maybe hearing this from me is a lil comforting

Omg this cracks me up for 1 reason.  3 months ago I was at the grocery store. They had Oscar Meyer turkey hot dogs on sale for 99 cents.  It was a new kind, smoked turkey hot dogs.  Well, there was a manufacturers coupon for a dollar on them.  I bought all 14 packages that were left.  Total cost was -14 cents.  I still have 11 packages in the freezer.  Usually I am a ballpark frank person.  I use to get them 10 for $10.  I probably ate 150 of those a year.  Looks like the next time I burn them on the grill I will be eating:

        plastic
        bones
        band-aids
        glass
        mice
        worms
        slugs
        insects
        soda pop can tops

I always beleived hot dogs came from outter space, their mystery of ingredients and they just look funny in the bun..

My friend said to me.. "slap a little mayo on it, you'll have a whole new imagery.. "

        The hot dog alone is enough to gag a maggot when you consider its all the left over discarded meat and fat and yuck. Then it's dyed red and made to look good. How does the FDA allow products like this to be sold amp;
