Sometimes when i'm broke, tapped out, no freebies, and casinos just aren't hitting, i'll decide to kick back and watch a movie... was wondering what movies have members watched lately or in the past that have been good and are recommended?

I seen an older movie called "A Knights Tale" starring Heath Ledger and Shannyn Sossamon, it is an adventure romance which those i love lol

I watched Cloverfield on DVD - its a horror story with a difference.

The movie is filmed by one person "making a birthday movie for his friend".....it's quite scary but it's very well done.  The way it was filmed was annoying at first but I got used to it quite quickly.

Well, IF anyone is slightly interested, The "State of the Union" speech is tonight. Couold prove to be interesting, boring, BS, but I was curious to see what Obama says.

Recent movies...Well, here goes for me:

Cloverfield: Saw that in the theatre when it came out. Sucks, I was led to believe it was a "Monstor Movie" but it's really a movie with a monstor in it. Later came out on DVD and they added an extra 22 mins...Hey I want my money back, first runs are supposed to be complete!

The Perfect Storm: Damn, that would have been worth seeing in the theatre. Great acting and a very subtle plot/storyline.

The Hulk: Like the Perfect storm, I only paid 50 cents for this movie and I guess it was worth that, but no more. They totally destroyed the original storyline, very little action.

I rented "White Out" from my ATT uverse system here at Home.

Don't bother. Besides it being a unbelievable story line, with just to many things happening that we know would never happen, in order for the movie to work, it is full of snow and cold. I was actually freezing watching it.  LOL.

Nostradamas Effects.. i love that show! Thank You minigeek

Hangover - that movie is a MUST SEE, funny funny movie! I was at the El Cortez when they were filming that, they were paying random players 100.00 as extras in thier movie, one lady was picked that was sitting 1 machine away from me.. Jack looks waaay different in person LMAO, he sat next to her and the instructions i heard was for her to just continue playing as though she was having a really good time, to jazz it up a bit but still look natural.
          Thank You satansmuff, excellent choice

Imagin-if you like adventure/romance, they are showing Twilight on showtime this month. I watched it the other night and it was kind of fun. Its a contemporary vampire/adventure/love story that really caught the attention of teens last year.

Ok, finally I watched a must see movie.
It is called "Tell no one" it is a French suspense/mystery film and it is the best movie so far. ...[The story, which involves murder and depravity in high places, is so elaborately twisty that about halfway through the movie you stop trying to figure it out and let its polluted waters wash over you, trusting that the denouement will reveal all. It does and it doesn’t. When the truth spills out, and ugly revelations pile onto one another in an extended final confession, the puzzle pieces fit more snugly than those of “The Big Sleep,” the granddaddy of impenetrable noirs. But one of the pleasures of both films is surrendering to a vision of corruption and evil that resists tidy explanations.]

Really well written and acted perfect.

Last night before i fell asleep, Matrix Revolution was on that was really good.. I woke to find .. The Bride of Chucky.. i couldn't stop laughing at the romantic scene between dolls..

Yeah, I know...I was really disappointed after I watched it(Pandorum)...I had high expectations for this movie. Especially since the tralier seemed so promising so I even purchased it instead of renting it. But I was wrong. Watching a movie should not hurt your eyes and ears. Because, that is all that the movie accomplished. I give this movie maybe a 5/10 because of some of the graphics, but the movement of the camera in some of the action scenes made me close my eyes for many parts of the movie. The storyline isn't very interesting, a bunch of zombie or weird looking creatures chasing humans and I 'm not even for sure if they really are humans, And all you need to do is just run fast!!!  How did the humans who were awake earlier survive for so many days/months/years/whatever without proper food and hygiene?  :-\  This movie is highly overrated I think.
I also watched Surrogate the other day and I am sorry,Imagin but I was not impressed. It was just okay...on the hand, I love all the  Matrix movies...I own them and some time to time I still watch them when I want some action.
O, btw, I love Chucky family...lol have you seen their baby movie yet? ha ha!

O My  Goodness,  Imagin!!! This is actually pretty spooky...My daughter was scared to death over whole chucky thing too when she was a little...the only difference was that she always believed that chucky lived in her closet and whenever she wouldn't listen to me I remember I used to scare her saying," Chucky's gonna come and get you if you don't do this and that..." and my mother once heard that and  told me that I was a very naughty mother who was a very freaky and wicked to scare my young daughter like that...but we all watched all the chucky movie series even my own mother...lol
Anyway, I am a freak when it comes to reading books and movies. I love reading romance books but I dislike romance movies...dunno why...maybe I am just weird. I think I have about 1400 books and owns many movies. Those are some of my treasures and pride. I wish I can loan you some if you like reading and watching books and movies.
