Why is this?????!!????

I start this thread with a  ;) just to avoid that people will attack me.........lol

I just have read an article in which was stated that women on an average day will speak about 21.000 words a day, ( if she is on the phone with her lady-friend or friends it will surely be more  ;)), but a man only about 7.000 a day.

I was wondering why:

A Man are boring, they have nothing to say (can't be the correct answer cause i am a man)

B Man are just smarter than women, and say things just simply better (would be the correct answer for the same reason as the previous answer was wrong)

C Answer B

I don't know Johan.  I don't say 21,000 words a day I'm pretty sure of that.

If you listen to a couple of women that you don't know (eaves dropping), say in a cafe, they talk about babies, clothes, shopping, hospitals if something is wrong with them, tv and magazines and of course, the biggest topic of them all, men.

Maybe those things have something to do with it?

21.000 words... I guess there are around 2 words per second, so they talk for around 3 hours per day! That's a bit too much

Anyway, I'm not much of a talker, I only speak when I really have something to say. So, bottom line, I don't mind talking as long as the words say something meaningful/useful/important.

Fun post jbuijsheeschw. I probably speak that much in an evening. I can talk my husband's ear off when he gets home. Suddenly he starts to talk a little too much and I glaze over. 

I think women just care more about details. If my husband mentions something about work, I have many questions. He only tells a small part of the story. So I want to know who, what, where, when and why. It's like pulling teeth to get it out of him but it's all about the details for me.

I read a study they did several years ago about speech development in babies.  Right off the bat, girls talk & communicate more than boys do.  When they talk to each other, it's to communicate about "something".  Boys make noise, but they tend to make noise for noise's sake, like "Vroooom", "Chug, chug, chug", etc.  It was a really enlightening study.

Johan, men keep their mouths shut and people may think they are stupid or boring.
But sometimes that is a lot better than opening their mouths and proving it. 8'|

In general, women talk more than men and they are certainly more interested in details, that's for sure.

I don't mind listening for hours just as long as I don't have to talk.

I only talk at work, ina relationship, im kind of quiet too, kind of like speak when i have something to say or about important things.. or if he is being talkative.. with my friends they do the gossiping i do the listening.. some make me out of breath just listening .. lmao

That is so true, but i did find the exception to the rule! I know a guy that can talk non stop! He is a jabber jaws

My very good friend can't stop talking and he's fun to be around and most of the time all I have to say is "Ok", "Yeah", "Sure", "Absolutely", "You're right"...
