Obama have no balls.. those sanctions are worthless, Russian don't care about it. EU and USA have to find more decent methods how to stop Putin's nationalism nad terrorism. They see more and know more then us, but can't do nothing. I support Ukraine and hope they will stop the separatist movements in eastern regions.

Just thinking about the possibility of "World War 3" is a frightening especially in this day and age when advanced weaponry is prevalent in so many countries and the world could be wiped out in a heartbeat.
The human race put us in this dangerous position and only we can rectify it.

war is a waste of resources. just because X president said something or acted in a way, why to go in that country killing the population just because they were born X nation and are now in the wrong place? if you have a problem with X president, you the other country just hunt him and his regime without much damage to citizens because they did nothing wrong.
yeah, never happen the above and the only problem is the army who is first attacking, killing masses at one command just because few individuals in the right spots are saying the other are enemies. the others have nothing to choose and are forced to defense and fight. thereafter they make us to believe through all sorts of propaganda how good soldiers are, to praise them because they fight and all stuff. they are rewarded with all sorts of medals for the killings they successfully made, covering them into courage, bravery, honor. if i kill only one person now, i go jailed life sentence. in war circumstances nothing is happening beucase someone determined that a couple of HUMANS are enemies and therefore lets kill them because of their regime.
wars are not doing anything else than to prove how much mankind evolved in time, and the result will leave many bodies around. -

Johnny i never thought of that and you young man are so smart for bringing up such a valid point. I doubt if any of the wars that we have had were wanted or expected. With such advanced weaponry with some having the capability of destroying the world it is frighting to say the least .

I am sure no ww3 will happen in near future, because no one really wants it. And all this magazines/TV/reporters, are just idiots.
Nobody was expecting WW2 either...
Yes, BUT, if WW3 happens, most people on the world will die. As i told, nobody wants it, so nothing bad should happen, USA will continue their local wars, nothing else. -

Agreed, nobody wants it and it would be absolutely devastating for the whole world considering today's weaponry.
But the similarities are there. Hitler annexed Austria, the international community did protest but they did nothing in order to avoid a war. Then he got a part of the Czech Republic, the international community let him have it in order to avoid a war. But then he got the whole country and Poland too and at that point war was inevitable.
Today Putin annexed Crimea, the international community did protest but that's pretty much it. Now he might want Eastern Ukraine and probably nobody will stop him although almost everybody will formally protest. Maybe he will want something else next? I hope not but... -

I am from Belarus(between Russia and Ukraine, ), and know a bit more. First of all, Putin not Hitler, even not close. How even you try to tell that, if this is a leader of Nation, who defeat nazi's in WW II? Stop reading and watching your news ( i stop reading our's too, there is huge WAR between our newspapers( btw, how on english will be all sources of info like tv, newspapers, websites?).
Crimea was russian from the begin, most people are russian, there was russian NAVY, where is annexia? People start protest after euromaidan, and russia just help them to do what they want to do.
On Eastern europe not terrorists, there is usual people, some of them was soldiers, etc. They fight because they want independent(yesterday was voting, 90% people vote for independent from Ukraine). They does not want to be a part of Russia, they want to be at their own.
So stop think Russia bad, Putin fu**ing Hitler, it is BS. -

Yapro123, I never compared Putin to Hitler, I have just compared the situations, highlighting the similarities. Of course there are differences as well, surely, and I hope those differences will matter.
By the way, during the weekend the Russian vice-premier said he'd like to come to Romania (my country) with a bomber next time. That's not such a peaceful attitude, is it?
As for Crimea, according to international law and international treaties it was a part of Ukraine. It's true that the population is mostly Russian, it's also true that it was a part of Russia once, but so was California a part of Mexico. Imagine Mexico taking back California, hilarious. It's unlikely because Mexico is less powerful than the US. That was not the case with Ukraine and Russia.
As for WW2, Hitler and Stalin divided up Poland between themselves and then the Allies and Russia divided up the world between them like slices of pizza, so I wouldn't necessarily try to find a good side in all that, they were all more or less bad for most of the little countries. -

There is a lot of true in your statements however it surprised me very much with that bomber lol that's definitely not peacful but I think anyway whatever it is the escort comes along -

Unfortunately, we cannot allow members to play from the country your IP is registered in. We apologize for the inconvenience and hope that you will be able to log in from another country soon.

Have to say, I'm living in Ukraine... Maybe they presume that Putin will occupate Ukraine soon and I will live in Russia? Or maybe they are involved in some secrets mission of WW3?
What a casus! -

Hi Sirin, i received the same message on one of the casinos, which i wanted to join.. that "log in from another country soon" sounds realy creepy, but i guess it's for all restricted countries
Btw, i'm fully agree with Johnny Karp position. I'm Historian, and have to say, that this situation with a Crimea shows, that Russian imperialism still exist. -

Hi Armage, yes, I'm sure it's message for all restricted countries, but it was really fun to get such a message when you are living in partly occupated Ukraine.
And to be serious, Russian imperialism has never disappeared. It was all the time here. I'm native Russian, was born in Volgograd (former Stalingrad) and live in Ukraine about 30 years. I remember that imperialistic mood at the Soviet times and it still exists in modern Russia. We have forgotten this terrible feeling here, in Ukraine, and we do not want to come back to this not healthy state of mind.
Thanks to all who understand us and express their nagative to Putin's authority. -

All im going to say is this:
NATO/West/EU wants to expand to the East, Russia wants to expand to the West. And neither gives a rats a$$ about Ukraine per se and its people. It is all about power and sphere of influence.
Exactly cold war goes on , if you read online there were actually few time in the history when ww3 was nearly avoided, like cuban crisis where russians set rockets on Cuba it was in 1960s as I remember

Yeah, that's we started from - Ukrainians went to Maidan to support movement to Europe. We have made our choice, but before to go West we have to solve a lots of internal economical and political problems. Other way we have to do literally nothing to get under Russia. The only easy way to join EU for Ukraine is to declare war on Europe and then to give up

Sad but true, there is no black and white in this. But there are various kinds of grey, as Armage pointed out. For Romania is definitely better to be in the EU and NATO than it would have been otherwise. -

I just found this topic, I'd like to post a looot of comments but I'm too busy for it at the moment. All I just have to comment right now is:
I am from Belarus(between Russia and Ukraine, ), and know a bit more. First of all, Putin not Hitler, even not close. How even you try to tell that, if this is a leader of Nation, who defeat nazi's in WW II?
Yes, I'm really grateful to Russia for WW II. Amazing job. Especially Molotov-Ribbentrop pact (including a secret protocol that divided territories of Romania, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Finland into Nazi and Soviet "spheres of influence"). Especially thanks for 17th of September 1939.
And the only reason why Russia fought against nazi was Hitler's operation called "Barbarossa"... Else Russia would be still "Hitler's friends"...
I'll leave the rest for myself.
I was trying hard to be as polite with this reply as possible. -

In my small town, we actually had a German POW camp. These soldiers laid the bricks in our streets and worked on our farms and ranches while our men were fighting. Some even moved back after the war. The camp was never preserved which I feel was a great historical loss.

I really cant see the citizens of many modern countries accepting a new world war, whatever the reason - people just will not be motivated to kill other humans in the name of their country in the same way they might of in the past. Admittedly that could change after an outbreak of war in which other citizens of somebodies country begin being killed, but in the first instance, I am sure that it would be very difficult to convince the majority of people in the world right now that a state of total war is in their best interests.

World War 3 is very unlikely to happen. We're in an age of nuclear weapons, and if we were to go to war we would just annihilate each other. Also we're all too tightly nit as well and all rely on each other for resources etc. It's a terrible shame the direction Russia is going in though purely because of Putin

Operation Tidal Wave was an air attack by bombers of the United States Army Air Forces (USAAF) based in Libya on nine oil refineries around Ploiești, Romania on 1 August 1943, during World War II. It was a strategic bombing mission and part of the "oil campaign" to deny petroleum-based fuel. The mission resulted in "no curtailment of overall product output", and so was deemed unsuccessful.
This mission was one of the costliest for the USAAF in the European Theater, with 53 aircraft and 660 aircrewmen lost. It was the worst loss ever suffered by the USAAF on a single mission, and its date was later referred to as "Black Sunday". Five Medals of Honor and numerous Distinguished Service Crosses were awarded to Operation Tidal Wave crew members.
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.
This is a small page of history.War is not good for anyone, bring great human and material damage, I live in Ploiesti and I mean nowadays are also found unexploded bombs.
