If you ever visit the Chicagoland area and one to hit up some of the Casinos that offer a fantastic buffet Grand Victoria Riverboat Casino is the place to go.

They completely renovated the buffet about a year ago. I went there for the first time in a long time and was encouraged to try the new buffet. It absolutely blew me away. To start the restaurant is absolutely beautiful done in all white from chairs to booths with black accents. Upside down lamps in different shapes hanging from the ceiling to light the way.

The some of the buffet selection displayed in individual single serving size dishes which was clever way to  prevent waste of food that some people tend to pile on their plate as well as there is no concern of people digging into big trays of food and it being unsanitary.

There is dishes from all over the world including Asia, Mexican, Italian plus a meat carving station, seafood, cheese, salads and on and on. And oh boy the sweets table is to die for!

I was impressed with the price to which was $18.99 for all you can eat and considering the prices of other buffets in the area and their quality of food and atmosphere this definitely in number one in my book!

What is your favorite Casino Buffet?

        Hi,

I like any of the station's casinos in Las Vegas.  They have just about anything anyone could want to eat.  They also have different stations with the different countries ethnic foods.  They offer buffets for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  They are priced accordingly, i.e. breakfast is cheaper than lunch, lunch is cheaper than dinner.

What I especially liked was the dinner buffet on Fridays is seafood.  A few a the choices were, crab legs, swordfish, shrimp, and scampi!  Almost any type of fish/seafood a person could want station's  has it.

So, next time anyone of you LCBer's makes a trip to Sin City (Vegas),  check-out any of the station's casinos.  They are geared more for the locals so they are located off the strip.  But the short drive or cab/bus ride is well worth your time and you'll have more money to gamble with!

        Enjoy!

I didn't know they redid the buffet at Grand Victoria  Lips, I haven't been there in a few years because it's such a far drive but I'm pretty excited to try it out. I gotta say my fav buffet in Vegas  is  at the Flamingo, classic, nice scenery and  great seafood!

Oh I love seafood. It drives me crazy though when I see people pile crab legs 3 feet tall on their plates. C'mon! You're gonna eat all that? Are you afraid you'll never be able to eat another crab leg as long as you live or the world will run out of crab legs? Ugh!

Ameristar in Council Bluffs has received a 5 diamond rating for there stellar buffet.

No many buffets I know of that will actually cook your steak to order and the way you like it.  Plus they offer a variety of steak seasonings
Plus they serve there food in smaller portions to keep it fresh, versus as some places that serve larger portions.  Plus the food has actual seasonings and flavor.  This is always a treat to me whenever I get a chance to get over to this place.  The food is just amazing and spectacular.  You would swear you in a real sit down restaurant eating food.  Versus sitting in a buffet.
The only minor downfall is the price, it's never lower then $14.99, and on seafood night.  Your paying almost $25/person.  Yet really for the food quality, you can't beat the price.  I'm pretty sure there banking on the majority of their customers being comped instead of having to pay those prices for a buffet.

Sounds awesome Cheetah and not too often buffets will cook to order like that. I have been to Ameristar Casino in Councils Bluff, Iowa but never had their buffet. As far as friendly service thought it was the best Casino in that area. Paying $25 per person for seafood night is not bad at all. In my area its $32 and up on seafood night and to be honest sometimes all they have is crab legs and shrimp.

Not a buffet but another place to try in Councils Bluff for an unbelievable steak is Horseshoe Casino. The steak house is beautiful inside and although a bit pricey it is well worth it. I like to reserve that dinner on nights i win!
