  • Business man Donald Trump filed a lawsuit on Tuesday against Trump Entertainment Resorts, a descendant of a corporate entity he ran at one time, claiming that two Atlantic City casinos, the Trump Plaza and the Trump Taj Mahal, have gone to sh*t affecting his brand and causing customer confusion.

Trump left the casino business behind five years ago but now he wants his name off as the casinos are not up to industry standards in terms of hotel services, food and beverage operations and overall cleanliness.

Trump Entertainment Resorts must correct the issues violating Trump's licensing agreement  or take his name off of both the casinos and the company.

  • I'd take his name off any time, but perhaps I'm not a very practical person

  • Not sure about Trump plaza hotel services, never been there quite frankly. But that hilarious photo you posted froggy gave me a really good laugh.

  • What surprises me, is the fact if he's no longer running it.  Then why allow his name to be still be attached to the brand?
To me no longer involved would mean, I would be taking my name off and telling them to find something else.  Unless if they felt the prestige of having such a name as Trump would bring in business.  Then paid him off to keep the name on the properties.
On either note good for him to be keeping up on his properties and taking action when necessary.

  • Apparently not a good move on his part to license his name. His brand is not being represented in accordance with the terms of the licensing agreement so even though he isn't personally involved in the operations, his contracts require the casinos to uphold a specific level of service. So we'll see what happens.

But in the mean time, let's have some fun! laugh_out_loud drtheolen  wink

  • That's a nice toupée.

  • It's a long comb over lol

  • Hahaha, thanks froggy for more good laugh! cheesy

Im straying off-topic yet I can't help but wonder who does his hair. Im pretty sure he can afford a decent hair stylist cheesy

  • You know what they say about rich people not liking to part with money though, or maybe he just thinks his hair is already awesome?! smiley  There has to be something about eccentricity that leads to success, I'm sure of it.

  • Yeah I bet he thinks its cool. Good point there wscalley.

  • I guess Oscar Wilde formulated well: "The only thing worse than being talked about is not being talked about."

  • Wow i had know idea Trump gave up the casino biz! I know when i was in Atlantic City the Trump Casino there was well........one of the least favorite spots with outdated machines and hardly had anyone in the place.

    Now about the hair............RFLMAOOOOOOOOOOO!!

  • Trump wins and is having his name removed from Trump Taj Mahal and the already closed Trump Plaza. The Plaza closed on Sept 15 and the Taj Mahal may be closing on November 13th  if they can't come up with the funds to stay in business. The company has already tried to cancel employee pensions and insurance for some extra cash but they've been denied. Sad state of affairs for Atlantic City.

  • It's really bad what's happening with casinos in Atlantic City.

I was thinking the same thing. His hair is the worse i have seen from a celebrity. As far as Trump goes, i think it is a good move to take his name off if the casino is dirty and the food is not handled properly. The potential for lawsuits if someone gets sick.
