Hiya LCB'ers,
I just moved up to Diamond status for Caesars Entertainment Group. It's been a few years since i had Diamond status and really missed it. It is one card i enjoy having and think they offer some of the greatest benefits. I like going to the Diamond Lounge especially at Caesars in Las Vegas and also to avoid long lines!
I also have the highest level Black card status at Rivers Casino Des Plaines. There is a VIP lounge there but nothing that spectacular. Besides getting 6 free buffets a month and occasional invites to special events it's no real great shakes.
Does anyone have VIP status at any Casinos?

I currently hold Sapphire status at Jumers in Rock Island.
I also hold Platinum at our local Indian casino Meskwaki.
The sapphire status at Jumers, gets me into the VIP lounge, priority check in at the hotel and a priority line at the buffet. Obviously my offers are pretty good there as well.
Meswkwaki also gives me a few perks, but not as many as Jumers does. It's mainly some nice discounts but your not considered a priority yet at any of there joints or hotel. -

Omggggggg girl knew you were in Wisconsin but thought you were up by Green Bay
I absolutely loved and i mean loved that Casino! It is enormous and has more Slot choices then any Casino here in Chicago. The Video Poker was a bit light especially for nickel machines otherwise i found it to be amazing.
We stayed in a cabin about 45 minutes away and i wanted to go back soooo darn bad but the whole point of the trip was to enjoy the great outdoors and no one wanted to really go back........of course i did and had to get over my internal pout -

Yeah I was surprised at the size of most of the casinos I went to Chicago. I would have thought for as big as the city was the casinos would have had some size to them, but apparently not.
Yet getting back on topic, how was Pot on the penny machine selection? Were the machines fairly current or were they a bit dated.
I've seen some Indian casinos were the machines are all fairly up to date and current. Like some of them in California. Otherwise like the 2 I've visited here in Iowa tend to be a bit dated when it comes to getting in some the newer things. Like Bierhouse 200 and some of the newer movie like ones such as Bridesmaids. -

Poto has about 3,000 slot machines. Some are still the old ones (which I like) and then they have lots of the new theme slots and other new ones. I don't play the theme slots but they seem to be pretty up-to-date with them.

This is a fantastic casino! It is certainly one of the Midwest's finest. How are the buffet, restaurants and hotel there? I did see the massive construction going on while i was there to build a new hotel. I am so dumb though..........because i was so pressed for time i didn't get a players card. If i did maybe i would have gotten a free overnight stay -

The food is not bad. But I doubt you would get a comp room. The hotel is still under construction and supposedly will be open in early Fall. I am told the rooms are booked solid for the first 2 years. Not sure if that is true, but it wouldn't surprise me.

Nice selection of Casinos Jewelnurse! Are you going on a gambling cruise sponsored through Harrah's?
I have been offered a couple of so called "free cruises" through Rivers Casino Des Plaines. The first time they sent me a mailer for this i was soooo excited. Unfortunately it was not exactly free because i had to pay for the round trip flight to get to the port and pay for hotel room the night before to assure get on the ship the following morning plus pay $600 plus in taxes and other fees. That's when i realized "free" wasn't so free after all!
Enjoy your cruise and let us know how it was! -

Dont get mired into into "statuses". Its a subliminal message to get you to spend money. At the same time dont get so hopped up on the comps either another ploy to get people to play longer, more, or just a "few more spins". A majority of the time you could have paid for that meal, hotel or whatever else.
The newest thing with the casinos is to let you know "how far away from the next tier" you are. Another ploy to get you to play when you maybe shouldnt or dont want to.
Most of the casinos are pretty cheap these days in terms of comps etc., compared to days of past. I know your talking about Diamond Status. They have now lowered requirments for Diamond status to allure more people. Yes they let you cut lines, but thats because they want you to get back to gambling asap. Harrahs is actually one of the cheapest casinos out there. Unfortunately wherever you go they will always have a majority of the properties.
It certainly nice to be treated well, but you have to remember, you are essentially paying for it. -

Harrah's group is not cheap at all with all the trips they give away but I know what you mean BMWSTACK. Ameristar gives nothing to new players and Rivers Casino cut out all its goodies. Even the VIP Lounge is pitiful.
Harrahs is definitely cheap. Listen, I have never paid a cent on anything at a harrahs property, I have been to a number of properties, private flight, fancy restaurants for my large group etc., but they still are not generous. Their programs are really not that generous compared to the amount of money spent. I have seen way better elsewhere.
Harrahs is big on spreading the wealth. You don't have to play much to get a free charter elsewhere, but they are trying to increase play at the slower properties. Just like your trip to Tunica, they needed to establish play at their few remaining properties their so it did not end up like a statistic like the old Grand Casino/ Harrahs they had to close in Tunica.
Yes indeed I know the ins and outs of the industry. -

I do like and appreciate the benefits as i move up in status. The Caesars group is such a large conglomerate they are in a position to offer more than the little guys out there. The way i look at it is if you are a true gambler you're gonna play regardless so having the perks is a bonus.
I agree it is definitely to lure players in and by the time you leave the casino you could of bought 50 dinners for what was spent in gambling or paid for that Comped three night hotel stay for half hotel floor stayed on. But either way it is not going to prevent players from playing there and gamble.
Definitely the free trips are for gambling destinations that are hurting but i reap the benefits by having the opportunity to go and have a blast in the process. Could i pay for some of these free trips for myself? Yes, but the incentive is enough to get me out there and explore where i otherwise wouldn't and for me its something i really enjoy.
Just like online Casinos every player wants and expects some type of compensation for being a regular depositing customer. And if a casino doesn't offer it the player moves on to greener pastures. -

I totally agree with lips. A gambler is a gambler. We are going to gamble regardless. So if a free trip is involved what is the problem with that? I think Caesar's is one of the best in offering comp trips, food, and rooms. I guess I don't see a problem with that.
Maybe BMWSTACK can weigh in on what we are missing?

I'm platinum with Caesars. However, with my newfound online gambling addiction, land based casinos have taken the back seat. Lol I always get top notch hotel rooms, comp food, and airfare to and from Laughlin (I'm SoCal) comped. The most expensive part of my trip has always been the gambling. Even though I'd only go once or twice a year, they've always taken good care of me - even as Gold status.
