  • Hi LCB'ers,

Ok i know this may sound crazy but if you are a lover of land based Casinos like i am you might understand (i hope)!

Of course winning at any time is awesome but........yes but! If i win big at the Casino say the first ten minutes i arrive i am thrilled and at the same time have this sinking feeling. Why? Because i just got there and God forbid should i get up and leave!

So what does this mean, chances are i am going to give a big part of it back. That's when the thrill of playing takes over and smart playing is thrown out the window.

For example on one of my recent trips i sat down to play and within a ten minute period i was up $500. Sure i was excited and off to a great start but i knew instinctively unless i could stay on a good roll i would end up giving it all back and i did!

Walking out at that moment would have been a fantastic profit. Walking out at that moment would mean the fun is over. Its a catch 22 situation. After i left that's when common sense kicks in and say to myself how stupid could i be, why didn't i just leave!

Would you prefer to win as soon as you there or when your bankroll is nearly gone?

  • Hmmm that's a tough one. I suppose I would be more likely to leave if I won later. I think it depends if I'm with people too. If we just got there chances are they are not prepared to leave just because I won. Either way it's being able to control the urge to keep playing and that's hard to do. laugh_out_loud

  • I agree with Feelin froggy smiley If I win too soon it's good chance that I will stay in casino and continue playing. Maybe at the end I would have more fun and more money,... but in most cases it's the way around laugh_out_loud

  • Depending on who you are with makes a big difference if they ain't prepared to leave. What will you do sit and twittle your thumbs! I am usually the fly in the ointment though don't want to leave lmaooooooooooo right froggy?

  • I would have seat and lost it back like the loser i am  laugh_out_loud. If i won later after i got there i would probably only play half back whistle wink.

  • I've decided that I want to win and win big the minute I get to the casino!  Yes I might give some (or all) of it back, but it is better than chasing your money all night, not winning it back, and coming home a loser.  If I spend back what I won, I usually at least come home with what I went with.  Coming home even is better than coming home a loser.

    shocked
  • I tend to go to the casino to play poker a lot more than slots now  so i play for a short time on the slots
before i play poker and if i win on the slots i go straight to the poker and if i lose some money i go play poker and come back later on to try the slots again if i manage to win on the poker tables.

  • I do that too. I play poker and then move to the slots for a little while. I seems to get stuck with lips so I have no choice but to keep playing wink laugh_out_loud

  • I prefer little wins before I hit a big one.  I walked into to this slot place and put £10 in a slot (£1 play) and very first go I won £160.  I'm not complaining but I do like a little play time before I win even if it means my balance isn't going up or down by much.  Some psychological weird thing about not getting "play time".

  • i always go to casino together with my hubby, he play poker by table, but i play slots, 100 euro is max what i have for slots and always if i win big with my first tenner (more than 100 euro) i give 100 to my hubby, so i feel good that if i will lose my 100 in my pocket i will be not looser coz i gave 100 to my hubby (and he never give it back lol)... and then i always try to keep my balance +/- the same as started and all my big wins is always going to my hubby pocket..
and yes, i would like a little play time, about 2h is enought to keep my big win and go away or lose all by the end lol
