I tried to find this casino and it looks their only marketing method is spam because google can`t find it.

K, this one looks fishy to Me as well. I to had litle luck with finding info on "CasinoPar" or Casino Par so i looked at the Independant web verifying company...

which brought me to a Web design and marketing firm that has a real interesting article on mass mailings, how to get your google count up etc... and oddly a portal to their Free online casino and arcade... Yes from there it got better, going deeper into their infrastructure I found they also run a small sports betting gig...

I also tried to find info on this casino.  I pretty much found what you did Jimb.  I think this is just a marketing attempt to gain as much money as they can off of the 1.99.

I thought this was a European casino and not for US players and don't understand why I would be getting this spam.  I guess someone has been selling email accounts and think people are foolish enough to fall for this scam.  I am learning more each day about rogue casinos and marketing scams.  I would never pay someone to validate an email account when reputable casinos do it free by sending you a link to your email account and all you have to do is click that link and BAM, you are verified.

The point behind the "research" for this, and the suspicions aroused by the initial searches came from the virtual lack of information available when Perky first recieved the email. It IS possible that CasinoPar is a new venture and is now fully open, thus your find, but at the time of the first posting, the total sleauthing needed to even find the casino, much less who runs it, where it is based out of atc. was somewhat suspicious.

Face it if you are doing a Grand Opening... you do it with Bells , Whistles and Fireworks, not whispers from a dark alley.

I will take a look later today and see if it still triggers my suspicious nature.

That was what the whole discussion was about, the 1.99 fee for validating the e-mail. The so called independent verifier was tracked back to the originators link, as well as having some unsavory click through properties. While a moneybookers account does give you some protection to your credit card info, Be very leery about going further and avoid, at all costs entering credit card info direct to them.

This is the first time we have seen this "E-mail verification by third party" and it's very uniqueness raises caution flags.

If possible a yellow warning flag should be attached to this thread, either by Perky as the thread starter or possibly someone in admin can assist.
